European airports are shut down daily, sometimes more than once a day. I've been stuck in them several times, when they were shut down, but nothing was found. Happens all the time in Paris.

I understand that the shooter was illegally racially profiled before being shot! I demand a civil rights investigation here!

Swat teams on roof tops,as seen on Fox.
There are a whole lot of police covering those people.

KABC 7 ... "unconfirmed" ... shooting reported as "not random," shooter approached a specific person and opened fire. Could be an assassination, but why wait until the person is within the airport surrounded by security guards ?

Certainly, you can't eliminate the problem. But if you look at many foreign airport terminals, they metal detect screen everyone coming through the front doors; some even have X-ray for carryon and checked bags. In spite of the madhouse generally seen in the ticketing areas in these airports, I've never seen a backup of people waiting to get through the front door security. This would be a relatively simple thing to do and, as I have waited in many a ticket counter line since 9/11, I - for one - would feel much safer having these measures in place. Until we expel the Mohammedans between 15 and 45, we're going to need to take these measures.

"Well, I am a malcontent. But I don't cavort with any of the other types you mentioned." Great point! If you are middle-of-the-row to conservative and live in Kalifornia, then you MUST be malcontent.

It isn't until you get to the gate area here that their security takes over. It is lax security here on the airports part, not EL AL.I do agree that something needs to be done at the entrance to the airport. I was in San Diego last month and noticed that anybody could have driven their car thru these huge glass doors at the airport. There were no concrete posts anywhere stopping that.

LOS ANGELES At least one person was killed and several were wounded Thursday in a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport, Los Angeles police Lt. Horace Frank said.
Police said one person was killed an El Al Airlines ticket counter. Airport security then shot and killed the gunman, police said.
The shooting reportedly occurred at Tom Bradley International Terminal and closed off much of the airport.
Details were sketchy but the incident reportedly occurred at a ticket counter.
Police said the shooting occurred at 11:32 a.m. after a gunman approached one individual at the international terminal and opened fire.

BOL and a grimmace:
If it was United Airlines, I could understand his response. Probably due to the abyssmal customer service, or being screwed out of his frequent flyer mileage.Maybe he was insulted by the same hostile/ugly 6'6" lesbo working at SFO with its bigger/meaner/more hostile transexual twin at LAX that used to insult all male UA Shuttle passengers at both SFO and LAX.
Two years ago I was verbally roughed up by both of them in the same day and got caught in a bomb scare in LAX. My luggage and everything got delivered to my hotel at 3 am from a 2 pm arrival. That was when I stopped flying out of SFO and LAX and retired from my consulting career.
