If the reports are correct that the bad guy was shot after being subdued this could get real ugly. I hope they don't arrest the guy who took out the bad guy.We have nothing to worry about. But if they dare to arrest this guy, well that will make them look like a bunch of morons especially in this situation in only couple of months after 9/11.

Looks like ElAl training is to eliminate any threat, not "subdue" it. I'd say, "Job well done!"

By the way, if they know his age, they know who he is. Doesn't mean the next of kin know. That was my point.

Definately. Israel seems to be the only country that has any balls. Do you want to stop terrorism? It can be stopped. For now on let it be known, anyone who takes an American life for Allah, we will destroy one of their mosque. We will bury your love ones in pig entrails, etc. We will use our own oil and no longer make Saudia rich. One more hit and Iraq becomes a country of glass. We will not forfeit our freedom anymore. This is the only way this madness will stop but do you think we have the balls to do it? Nah.... We are a country of pc wimps.....

Local CBS just scrolled "One suspect dead; one suspect in custody."
This was confirmed by Marc Brown of KABC-TV asking "who's the guy in the back of the squad car?" as TV camera shows unhappy, dark-haired guy in police custody.

Doesn't mean the next of kin know
Doesn't mean his "FRIENDS" know. Don't want to give anyone time to distroy evidence.

Israeli Counsel General in LA, quoted in Jerusalem Post stating that Israel security officer in LAX identified the shooter as an Arab.
To: brydic1
Someone earlier posted LAX scanner freqs included transmission that FBI was escorting consul general to terminal
To: sonserae
However senior figures in the Israeli government have already indicated their strong belief in the possibility of a terrorist attack. They have blamed Islamic extremists for the incident at LAX..

Doesn't mean his "FRIENDS" know. Don't want to give anyone time to distroy evidence. Abso-friggin-loutely.
I for one expect that there tons more going on behind the scene than we're party to.
Have you heard any more about the 2 arrests?

"o far, everyone that I have publically seen connected with this investigation, appears to be clueless and a political hack"Yes....what you are trying to say is that we should be afraid of these people...very afraid. And you are absolutely right.

Couldn't agree with you more......Better a surprise knock on the door with a search warrent, then giving the general population a "name" I can wait.

Please go to the Ha'aretz report

If the reports are correct that the bad guy was shot after being subdued this could get real ugly Probably BS. From the earlier reports on this, the ElAl guy saw the shooter and weapons (gun and knife), took him on, got stabbed and shot in response.
Something to think about: if you go to the old Hamas "honours list", you'll find that they are extremely fond of the blade. A favourite tactic was to get into any crowd of civilians (and preferrably kids) and just start slashing.

Better a surprise knock on the door with a search warrent, then giving the general population a "name" I can wait.Yep, exactly... My own personal thoughts.. the moment this happened, FBI/CIA types were analyzing everything-- such as cell phone records to see who made calls from the area of LAX... and to whom.. I bet they are in intense data collection mode.
To the public, they come across as idiots, because they offer no name to the perp or a reason for the incident. I think the shooting might have been the signal for a larger event that was thwarted. You and I may be on yellow alert - but law enforcement on this holiday is on red alert.
To: hoosiermama
CNN reporter just said he saw an FBI report(accidently) that says hte suspect was an arab male 30-45
To: brydic1
On TV a witness also said everyone was yelling "He's an Arab" during the melee.
This will probably be the last we hear of it.

I am amazed that so many Jews are anti self defense. If these kinds of things aren't enough to move them, I don't know what can. Oh, they're moved all right. What is interesting is to watch things like LarryLied and his friend Pinlihter crawl out of the woodwork to explain why the 2nd shouldn't apply to Jews, when Jews go for the self-defense option.
Speaking of which, where ARE all the usual suspects? Maybe we should have a roll call to see who's conspiciously missing?
