A new form of AIDS has been discovered in Los Angeles, one which is untreatable.
Reasearchers have warned of the appearance of new strains of HIV, which due to patients abusing treatment programmes, have developed into super viruses which do not react to tradtional retroviral treatment.
It is claimed by the National Institutes of Health and the University of California that these super viruses are spreading fast in San Franciso among both the heterosexual and homosexual communities.
The reasearchers blame the attitude of average Americans for the current situation, stating that people have stopped taking the disease seriously and have ceased to practice safe sex.
Also therapies with drugs are not being respected, with patients in many cases beginning treatment and suspending during its course, making the virus multi-resistant to future therapies.
The researchers also claim that tens of thousands of people living in San Francisco have the new virus and that it is the new, multi-resistant strain of the virus which is passed on.
Given that California was one of the first focal points in the worldwide AIDS epidimic, it would be logical to assume that the same phenomenon will appear elsewhere in the coming years.
Given that the HIV virus is the one of the fastest to mutate, this seems like more of a certainty than a possibility.

You could see this coming like an eighteen wheeler. The real reason the rate of new infections dropped was because once over 50% of the "at risk" population was infected, statistically, it became impossible for the new infection rate to continue going up. Additionally, the treatments allowed infected people to continue fairly normal lives. This, unfortunately, meant continuing to have random sexual intercourse with strangers.
One issue that's usually overlooked is that once someone has AIDS, THEY don't have anything to lose, and are therefore the most likely to continue in unsafe practices. Saw one movie made by homosexual men as part of a gay/lesbian film festival (no I'm not and it's a long story as to how I ended up seeing it), and there were several interviews with AIDS patients stating that they generally didn't tell their partners they had AIDS because it would ruin the mood. I think approximately 50% of AIDS infected homosexual men, according to some studies, have stated that they would lie about having AIDS in order to have sex with someone. Haven't seen any stats on straight men, but I know a LOT of women who have gotten herpes & other STD's from guys who didn't tell them a thing.

This statement is pure crap. Your "invisible buddy who lives in the sky" doesn't punish folks for being gay. Like you have a clue what God does.

Once again, the Sodomites have demonstrated the wisdom of the Biblical injunctions against pervereted and unnatural sexual acts. Spell it right. It's preverted.

And some in the gay community have been not using condoms thinking the disease is 'cured' and even spreading it worse.

Not only then, but there are gay men called barebackers who actually chase the bug. Freaks. Absolute freaks.

I think you're some kind of deviated prevert. I think General Ripper found out about your preversion, and that you were organizing some kind of mutiny of preverts. Now MOVE!!

Uh huh. If people only practiced prevention. I wonder if the gay leaders will finally get the word out for people to stop engaging in unsafe sex. A peculiar thought occurred to me (not uncommon per se).
I wonder if the promiscuous segment of the gay community aren't promiscuous because they're gay, but rather they're gay because they're promiscuous. Or, to put it more expansively, perhaps there is a tendency to promiscuity among certain men that they find easiest to satisfy in the homosexual lifestyle.
Has any research been done on this angle, or has it been considered and deemed to stupid to investigate?

Treatment - expensive and painful but not a cure. Slows down death at taxpayer's expense.

As another poster said, I believe most gay men would not want to 'ruin the mood' and announce that they have AIDS.
And when his parner wants to 'ride bareback' perhaps the catcher and the pitcher may be too drunk or stoned to care..

Funny how the people who laud the theory of evolution want to interfere with natural selection when the results aren't what they like. I believe it was Darwin who observed that Nature is NOT a moral agent. Indeed either with regards to the beasts or man, it plays no favorites. As it the current AIDS treatment simply delay at enormous expense, the inevitable.

If so someone should give them a gun in order to save themselves and us a lot of trouble.

Hmm, I never knew the Aids disease was actually a treatable disease. When i think of the word treatable i think of cureable and there is no cure except for death........

I think 'treatable' here means extending the life of the patient so that the virus is permentantly stunted.
But the patient still lives with it inside him/her

And giving out condoms in schools saying that it is okay to have sex all over the place, while not disclosing that the failure rate of the device is 40% when used.

God created AIDS as an effective treatment of homosexualiy and other undesirable activities. Did he create heart attacks as a punishment for gluttony?

Reminds me of what I read on a wall in a liberal College bathroom:
AIDS = Anal Insertion Deserves Suffering. LMAO!
