Pray for Bush Day 654 & Israel

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for this day and for the many blessings You have given us during it. I thank You for Your grace and for Your protection of us through these trying times. I pray Father for Your continued protection and guidance of this nation, even though we do not deserve Your favor. Lord, we have sinned against You in so many ways. We are blind and destitute and don't even realize it. Father, pity our nation and send Your Spirit to correct that which sin has done to us. Send revival to this land Lord, and create a new people- one that is pleasing to You in every way and will glorify You before the nations.

I pray for President Bush. Father, help him to do that which You have called him to do and to do it excellently. Help him to rely on Your wisdom day in and day out in each and every situation and to not turn to fables or deceptions of demons. Help him to stand courageously for that which is right and true and just and pure and good. And help him to have discernment regarding all of the individuals who surround him- each voicing an opinion which may or may not reflect Your will. Let him be the man we need him to be and give him favor in the eyes of the people as he serves You through this office- confounding all of his enemies and the enemies of truth justice and life.

Father, I pray for Israel and ask that Your hand would be upon her as well. Her struggle has been long and constant, but her God is faithful. Protect her and draw her to You Lord that the verse in Romans will come true- and so all Israel SHALL BE SAVED.

Go with us the rest of this day, Lord. Help us to do what would be pleasing to You and to know You more in each passing moment and to love You as You deserve. For it is in the precious and holy name of Christ Jesus my Lord that I pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

During this week of celebration, we come before You asking Your blessing upon America. We are so privileged to live in this nation, but more than that, we are blessed exceedingly because we belong to You. You cause nations to rise and fall. Surely You could cause America to fall instantly if You chose to do so. Thank You that You, our God, have shown such tremendous favor upon these United States. Thank You that You have inspired our nation’s Constitution through Your Word. Thank You for the courage and wisdom You provided our founding fathers as they wrote into law the ideas for liberty and freedom which You gave them.

Father, we are a lost nation without You. With You, we are a blessed and mighty nation. Help us to continue to seek You with all our hearts. To those who seek to remove You from the very heart of this nation, let their efforts be in vain. For as long as there is one believer, Your name will still be praised in this land. Courts and kings may tell us what we can and cannot do publicly and perhaps even privately, but only You know the thoughts, the praises, the intents of the heart. Forever we can praise Your name in our hearts. Forever we can recite Your Word in our minds. Forever we can pray to You. No one---no, there is not one person strong enough, powerful enough, influential enough to take away the love we have for You in our hearts.

Rest Your hand upon Your servant, George W. Bush, and cause him to do mighty things in Your name. Help him to delight in You. Enable him to walk before You with a clean heart. Fill him with all manner of wisdom and understanding, that he may choose to honor You all the days of his life. Bless our relationship with Israel, Lord, and help us to show true friendship toward Your beloved nation.

Let the people praise You, O Lord; let all the people praise You. We do love You, Father. Our first allegiance is to You. It is the only allegiance that truly matters. May You bless this nation with liberty and justice for all. Thanks be to God in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Father I thank you for your listening ear. Thank you that you are our firm foundation. Thank you that you are in control of all things.
I pray for President Bush as you continue to be a shield about him, God. Watch over and keep him and his family safe from harm. Place protection over the city of Washington D.C. and over the nations airways as these tense days pass, Father. Station mighty angels around areas of risk.
Lord we pray for Israel as her trials continue. Extend your hand to protect and defend her, and move on the hearts of people and nations to be supportive of her and see each need, and to stir up agreeing prayer to the situations there, and that there be willingness to stand up for Israel among the nations.
Come to us your children with times of refreshing, and revival. Grant peace that passes understanding to our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Please God, help President Bush to learn how to use his veto pen. Help him understand that socialism is pure evil that only works toward removing Your good name from our society.

I pray that he learns to quit taking money from my family to give to others and that he stops spending our nations treasure for political purposes.

Let him learn to show more respect to our constitution, which without Your help would have never been written. I pray that people on this forum will realize that just because someone is a Christian, that doesn't mean that they are always doing Your will.
