Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be."

In a free republic, what else are things that don't need to be here?
If someone can afford a SUV, Caddy, or whatever...what difference does that make to those without them? I have yet to see any logical arguement against an individual's right to own and drive whatever they desire.
If something is legal to own and use, that is all there is needed to justify it.

Don't worry, it's a low water volume model.

Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be."So what makes you/the California legislature the arbitor of what I need or don't need???
BTW, I'm doing just fine with my wife and three children in our Urban Assault Vehicle. I'm sure you/they don't expect me to cram my large frame (6'4"/285#) and the remainder of my family into an econobox, do you?

I guess it would follow that a free market is on that list too, huh?

Will it be okay when the libs reduce all of us to driving this?

But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be."Who decides?
You don't need a computer. You are wasting the blood of precious Gaia by using a computer, even if you are off the grid. Sturdy shoes, coarse clothing, backbreaking labor. Those are the things you need. It is decided.
Socialism fails badly. Always has, always will. Failure to recognize that is delusion.

I'm glad you feel that my vehicle is something that "don't need to be". I'm glad you want to make choices for me in my life. Remember this when the government kicks your doors in and takes some rights away from you. We are way down that slippery slope and speeding up daily.
To: upchuck
Well thats your choice.......scuse me it was "your" choice if you live in the Peoples Republic of Kali......... now you don't get to make such decisions for yourself anymore.

Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be." Several other "things that don't need to be", but are:
Hot fudge sundaes
Cheeseburgers
Ice
Nikes
First class
Bass boats
Snoopy
You got a problem with those, too?

I'm not ready to drive the tin can crap the obstructionist enviros are selling. They all think we are shorter than 5'6", weigh less than 130 lbs, have no children and no other pasengers and do not have to drive more than ten miles to a particular destination.

Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be." Based upon whose standards? Yours? Well, in that case, maybe the next thing the government votes against will be something that you need or want. Remember: "When they came for the Christians, I did not say anything, for after all, I was not a christian..."
Get it?

WOW, my comment, "Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of 'Things that don't need to be.'" seems to have hit a real sensitive nerve. 13 replies to my post. Well, 14 if you include Mad_Tom's double post.
So now we come to this: you have the perfect right to drive any kind of vehicle you want. At the same time, I have the right to have a list of things I (repeat, I) think don't need to be. And, thank God, I have just as much right to have my list as you have to drive your vehicle, whatever it may be.
Here are some other things I don't think need to be:
Income redistribution schemes
Democrats (not the people specifically, but what they stand for)
Cells phone that allow you to talk on them while you're supposedly driving
Bureaucrats (any make or model)
Foreign aid
Abortions
Gun control
Any questions?

Liberals are #1 on my list of things that must not continue to be.

Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be." Thanks for the autobiographical information.
Here's some more information: this is a free country. Your personal opinions of what do or don't "need to be" don't mean jack squat. Capisce?
