"There's no question that someone's offended by the Confederate flag being flown on public property," Sabu Williams, President of the Okaloosa County NAACP, said.
So what Sabu? You're going to be offended by a lot of things, that's life. I'm offended by a lot of things Sabu, but I move on. In fact Sabu, I'm offended by the fact that you can be part of a group that is dedicated to the "Advancement of Colored People" but if I joined a group dedicated to the advancement of white people I'd be a racist, a bigot, and a Nazi.
(BTW this guys name is funny :))

Before they go telling everyone else they are racist, I want the NAACP to take the racist term "Colored People" out of their organization's name.

Sabu? Is he a pro-wrestler well known for his harcore, homicidal, genocidal, suicidal ways? The man who brought carnage to ECW. I'm sorry, I had to get that in.

Hey look, Ma. Here comes the Elephant Boy;
Bundled all up in his corduroys...
Headed down south toward Illinois, from the jungles of East St. Paul.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People says the flag is offensive to blacks and represents a history of hate. Did it ever occur to these nukleheads that they are in the process of creating there own history of hate.
Note to Sabu, shut up and get over it. Life is full of stuff you don't like. Grown ups say their peace about it or ignore it and get on with their lives. The bottom line is the flag hurts no one. You have no bonafide beef.

A lot of things offend people. There are worse things that offend people than a century old flag. Hey I'm sure the NAACLP is offended by mention of God, but going after Him isn't as politically correct as beating up Southerners and crying "racism." Good grief. Whatever you think of the Confederate emblem in Crestview's city seal, the truth of the matter is not ONE black person has died as a result of its being there. Removing it as Sabu Williams wants won't do one iota to address the real problems black people face today and it will create antagonism and conflict where none existed before. The NAACLP has gotten a lot of mileage out of thrashing around in the past at the expense of dealing with the future.

Some flags hold more power than others, it seems. Whenever I express my displeasure at yet another unkempt Birkenstock-clad freak burning an American flag in "protest", some whiny leftist will sneer that "It's only a piece of cloth". I'll be told to "get over it", "get a life", to stop "being a fascist" and that I shouldn't confuse a symbol with a nation.
Rearrange those same bits of red, white, and blue cloth into another pattern and that symbol mystically transforms into a tool of hate and opression. A tool so powerful, so evil, that it can't even be viewed in public.
I'm offended by certain symbols on my daily drive to work. They aren't symbols of cloth, but rather of paint sprayed onto walls, bridge abutments, highway overpasses, and boxcars, marking the territory of the criminals who placed them there. They don't represent evils committed six generations in the past, they are the marks of evils happening now.
Should the good folks who care so mightily that none be offended wish to do something about it, I'll be happy to forward a list of their locations along with a can of turpentine and a box of toothbrushes to erase them. It would be a much more useful gesture than folding a flag that hasn't flown in battle since my great grandfather was a boy, and it will keep them gainfully employed to boot.
Any bets on the likelyhood I'll get volunteers?

It never ends because we gave them an inch.
Exactly, one does not make concessions to groups like the NAACP.

Thanks for the ping.
Ho-hum- when will the NAACP start dealing with Black student achievement instead of some flag?
