Billie,
Thanks for featuring the Memorial Wall today. That has been a project of love for me. A way of giving back to the forum that gave so much to me over the years.
The goal was, from the very beginning, to include every FReeper who passes away. By virtue of joining FR, they have earned the right to be listed. Kind of like the Marines. (Once a Marine, always a Marine) There is no favoritism. The "plaques" are in date order.
Most of those on the Wall I have known from posts over the last 4 years. Some I concidered friends. All I cried over as they were added. I pray that I never have to add another name. We have lost more fine people than we should have.

These are only five of the FRiends who are no longer with us, but they are the only photos I had and the most recent. BCM and BKO, among the casualties of September 11th; Chief Negotiator, a tragic accident just weeks later; 1John, who is pictured in the very first veteran's group above; and CommiesOut, who passed away just last month. I remember also BC Johnson, EdLinn, RR, OldAtlanta, heavyd, CaseyJay.....familiar names I used to see often on many threads. There are other names on the Memorial Wall some of you may remember: LoveUSA's father, Michael A. Marhevka; laissezfirearm, and JMIRACLE.

Evenin everyone. What a great bunch of FReepers being rightfully honored this weekend as well as the others on the Memorial Wall. Thanks for putting them front and center.
Billie, thanks for posting those hymn links this morning. When I just now read through the thread, my heart and emotions did one of those shudders which often plagues this old softie. "His Eye is on the Sparrow" was one of my Dad's favorite songs. That and "Ivory Palaces" were sung at his funeral at his request.
Sorry to hit and run, but I've aggravated some old injuries again. BBL

What a beautiful tribute, Billie - - first class, as is everything you do.
I remember most of these persons.
Rather feel they are watching us and telling us to live life to its fullest and continue to hold the torch high for America ~ ~ ~
Mr_Magoo, you site is simply awesome, reflecting your huge heart.
We are deeply touched by your devotion to remembrance of the fallen.
