President Bush announced today that he will undergo a colonoscopy tomorrow at Camp David, a routine checkup after doctors found benign polyps a few years ago. The procedure will mark the first time there has been a transfer of power to the Vice President while a President has been sedated for a medical procedure. When asked how he feels, the President said that he felt fine and was looking forward to an afternoon of exercise, after the procedure is done. Earlier in the day, Bush attended a fundraiser for Rep. Connie Morella, R-Md. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yup, I was burning the midnight oil -- I got less than two hours of sleep Friday night and then after we met you, SiberMike and I exercise-walked for an hour, and later I took a four-hour nap and then got up to check FR.

You caught me up at 4 am, eh? Well, couldn't sleep. There is a good reason, but I'm not a liberty to discuss it yet. Changes in the wind.

Glad you were at convention. This is the first one in years I wasn't attending - not even a delegate this time. Glad you gals had fun though! It was probably a good year - a bit more optimism (even if it is unfounded). We conservatives in this liberal Western WA put on a good face - as though we really stand much of a chance. I am heartened, however, to see so many great conservatives running for office this year - many for the first time. I just hope they don't get discouraged when many of them lose. Hope they stay active and involved.
