President Bush announced today that he will undergo a colonoscopy tomorrow at Camp David, a routine checkup after doctors found benign polyps a few years ago. The procedure will mark the first time there has been a transfer of power to the Vice President while a President has been sedated for a medical procedure. When asked how he feels, the President said that he felt fine and was looking forward to an afternoon of exercise, after the procedure is done. Earlier in the day, Bush attended a fundraiser for Rep. Connie Morella, R-Md. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

W described himself as someone who "goes a hundred miles an hour," and said it helps him that Laura is such a good counterbalance to him in this regard. Being kin to Speedy Gonzales really helps him keep pace with the demands on his job.
I read the other day that when they are at their ranch, he runs four or five miles and then he and Laura walk three miles on Sundays (after which he takes "a sleep"). This has to be an invaluable thing for their marriage -- that she can count on at least three miles of uninterrupted walking and talking time with the man she married, despite his current duties.

Yeah, she was in our paper, the Reporter Telegram, but I don't know if she was in Midland.

", but because it has called attention to the fact that lil Tommy, the Obstructionist is keeping the judiciary from functioning."
I think you are right......It has.....and it does add emphasis to the Judiciary holdups .... but I doubt that will change the Demonrats choke hold on that process...for one reason: Hillary Clinton.

Wphile - I didn't know you were from WA!

"someone who goes 100 miles an hour" - I think that's a good description of his pace of action.....
Am glad for some "down time" whenever he can get it.
No slouch, this President. I imagine he wears out some on his staff.....maybe encouraging them to get in better shape just to keep up with him!

**Now that begs the question, how did you become acquainted with the exact shade of red called "whore red"? Hmmm? **
Grammie wears that color every Sunday night. Just ask her! She's such a hussy.

Yes I am - the eastside. I was in Bellevue for the GOP convention and met goodnesswins (who was also a delegate) and gretchenEE (who we both met for lunch). I thought I pinged you once to see if you were going to the convention but that was a while ago.
It was a hoot meeting fellow BushBabes!
Just curious, but why are you on the internet at 4 in the morning?

The pledge decision was a big issue at our GOP convention in WA. We recited it several times, each time the 'under God' getting louder, and had several resolutions passed which reiterated our support for the pledge and for the words 'under God.'

She didn't say "Whore Red" she said she wore read. It was a finger error that caused the "h" to be in there. Simple mistake really. Its hard to type while you're picking your nose.

Good morning gretchen. I see you were burning the midnight and post midnight oil last night!!
The rest of the convention went fine - a bit of wrangling over the platform but eventually people just got tired and we managed to pass it and the resolutions.
All in all, it wasn't a bad convention...most people pretty up beat for the GOP's chances this November in WA state and nationally. Let's roll!

Thank God that we will not be seeing another display like the one Katie Collic performed for the Today show when she had her rectal probe. The president is a lot smarter than she is I suspect.
