Of course, these blacks mention how hard it is for them in 2002 because hundreds of years ago their ancestors were sold into slavery; but they don't mention how much better THEY are off because of it. Of course no one is condoning slavery, and it was a terrible thing, but some times good things happen out of bad situations. And I can think of one other example where slavery led to a positive outcome.
It's been a while since I read that part of the OT, but remember that Joseph dude with the coat of many colors. His brothers hated him, threw him in a ditch and sold him as a slave to some Egyptians who were passing through. Now obviously this did not seem like a positive turn of events for Joseph; but in reality it was a God send. You see, he later worked his way up in Egypt, became the number two man, and eventually saved all the Israelites from starvation (including his brothers).

Thanks for the ping! I wonder, because a small percent of my ancestors were Irish and not well treated when they got off the boat, could I qualify for for some free money? Where does it end?
It ends NOW, when we truly love and support each other. It ends with my son's generation which is color blind. It ends with his best friend, Bill who adopted me as his other mother, even though I have blue eyes-fair skin and his just happens to be dark. And no Bill didn['t buy our love and respect nor did we buy his.

I'm surprised I've not seen anyone propose the logical solution, which would be to offer all decendants of slaves CSA$100 each. Of course, what they'd do with all that worthless paper I have no idea, but it would seem if anyone owed them anything it would be the government of the Confederacy. That there was so much Confederate currency printed that even today its collector's value is practically nil shouldn't cause any problem; indeed, it probably makes the goal of 'reparations' more achievable.

That's a lot of demanding for one month, Hank. What happens if whites ever say, "No"?It's no longer an "if":
We Won't Pay

Too bad education is wasted on so-called "black intelligensia" like Gates. They're possibly more dangerous than your average "gangstah".
