Sacramento atheist Michael Newdow said Wednesday he was trying to restore the Pledge of Allegiance to its pre-1954 version because no one should be forced to worship a religion in which they don't believe.
But if the threatening messages on his answering machine are any indication, the American public is not thanking him.

I work in Elk Grove and travel in the Sacramento area regularly...
I got to get a "One Nation Under God" bumper sticker...
And hope this loser is stuck behind me in traffic soon.
Hmmmm.
"One Nation Under God" tee shirts?
Because reasonable people prevailed.
Nihilists frequently see themselves as reasonable. They are not. They are simply out to smash everything . Don't tell me, lemme guess - You're probably a napster type, software pirate --- music is free - software is free -- I-have-the-right-to-your-property-so-I-will-take-it-type?
In the end, this is not about God, its about destroying nihilism.
But my point is, this costs money. Even if he were doing it himself, he'd have little time for anything else. Where is the other $$ coming from to support him and his child? My instinct tells me that there is more to this than a guy with a grudge.
Ther person who posted that, posted it in anger on a Bulletin Board. They did not go into court in an attempt to curtail your liberty.
I find it truly amazing that atheists have so much less brainpower than Christians that it is not possible for them to yank their kids out of government schools and simply homeschool them.
A personal note to you, though, where you claim that being a veteran makes you more patriotic than the rest of the folks here, I too am a veteran, of the US Army Infantry, and if you didn't do at least that, or maybe the Marines, you simply don't measure up to me.
Now, what do you think about the laws that limit or prohibit dueling? I think they are wrong, and hopelessly religiously biased. We need to get rid of them.
Neither would I. This fellow is not acting alone.
I think, GG, that today I saw a nation rise up out of anger and disgust and spoke their minds. Today, I witnessed people being citizens, not spectators. I could not get through to my Senators in Washington because the lines were so jammed. I finally got through after an hour of trying their offices in Tampa. I was only ONE of 2000+ callers. The poor girl answering the phone said that she has NEVER seen a reaction like this from the American people in all the years she has been working there. (Graham's office). I said, "Good. It's about time that Americans stand up to the plate and started taking their country back....ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. And, if they don't like it here, they can leave...I am sick and tired of people complaining about what they have to "suffer" in the name of God. If they don't want to say the evil word "God", then they don't have to. We've seen what's happened to our country in the last 30 years....it's gone to hell in a handbasket and September 11th was the first wake-up call." This may very well be the last straw for Americans in this country. Either the lawmakers do something about it, or we will have to.
It is time that the minorities that rant and rave about how badly they are treated here get a one-way ticket out of this country. Let him and his 2nd grade daughter go to some country where they don't worship any gods. You won't find any. God is whoever you want him/her to be.
I'd be willing to bet you've been talking to Dimensio. Hahahaha. Did you get the dictionary definition too?
By the by. I only addressed you, Dimensio, since I referred to you in my post.
Not if it was his own money.
Mighty bigoted of you--oops...I forgot---atheists can't be bigotes. Sorry for the slip...NOT.
