Dan, thanks for this most excellent post. It is in keeping with a major concern of mine:

Namely,

"Who is exposing those who fund the Left?"

"Who is exposing those who are funding the destruction of the United States?"

"Who is exposing those who are funding the destruction of our Constitution?"

The answer? No one is (except various posters from time-to-time on FRee Republic)!

We FReepers must continue to expose these Liberal/Socialist/Marxist Bastards for the scum that they are! We must shine the spotlight of truth on their funding sources and demonize them to the point that they have no credibility with the American public.

Perhaps we can organize a boycott and even bankrupt one or two of them!

Seems like a worthwhile project to me, IMHO.

Anybody else agree that this might be a worthwhile thing to do?

The objects of Soros' philanthropy are a mixed bag in my book, but even if I objected to all or most of them, I can't get too worked up about leftists who use their own hard-earned money to fund leftist causes -- it's supposed to be a free country, after all. It's the much larger group of leftists, who are conspiring to have MY money confiscated by the government and forwarded to their pet causes, that really piss me off.

Quickly following a connection here

Soros gives to Tides..
Tides Gives to PWCAK(Michigan fighters against CCW - MMM and MPPGV)
"Americans for Gun Safety" was founded by McKelvey and was a grant from the Tsunami fund as said on their site. According to Tides>..'''''''Also in the 1990s, we founded two additional members of the family of organizations: eGrants.org and Tsunami Fund.'''''
Tsunami is Tides, and Soros funded them. McKelvey and Soros are joined at the hip.

We know about Soros here, but what is Tides??
From their website

Since 1976, Tides Foundation has worked with donors committed to positive social change. We put resources and people together--strengthening community-based nonprofit organizations and the progressive movement through innovative grantmaking.

We define "progressive" as creating a positive impact on people's lives in ways that honor and promote human rights, justice, and a healthy, sustainable environment.

Tides Foundation has awarded over $235 million in grants to nonprofits working for social change in the U.S. and abroad. Most grants are made on the recommendation of one of our individual, family or institutional donors who are interested in funding specific issues or strategies.

Tides awards grants in these issue areas (listed alphabetically):

Arts, Culture and Alternative Media
Civic Participation
Economic Development
Economic and Racial Justice
Environment
Environmental Justice
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Issues
HIV/AIDS
Native Communities
Women's Empowerment and Reproductive Health
Youth Programs
Violence Prevention

Working with Tides Foundation
If you want to make a difference and put your resources to work for a better society, Tides can help you make your charitable donations have strategic and lasting impact.

We offer:

Donor Advised Funds that integrate financial advantages and convenience with social responsibility;
Flexible and Personalized Grantmaking Programs, to fit your needs;
Expert, Experienced and Dedicated Staff that comes with more than 20 years of leadership and grantmaking expertise in the social change movement; and
Collaborative and Learning Opportunities through gatherings with activists and collective efforts with like-minded donor collectives that will allow you to grow along with the movement you are supporting.

That jerk worked long and hard to destroy Serbs in Kosovo by supporting the drug smuggling kla-albanians. He is behind the legalize drug movement....he wants to be the drug king so that more and more $$$$$$$$$$ and more $$$$$ fill his pockets, then, he has MORE $$$$$$$ to support his other devilish causes.

He is a second cousin to the anti-christ and a new world order prince.

I'm with you.

Soros earned his money, and is free to dispose of it as he pleases.

I hope I can be as generous, in my own way, of course, someday.

"It's the much larger group of leftists, who are conspiring to have MY money confiscated by the government and forwarded to their pet causes, that really piss me off."

Don't disagree with you there at all.

My point is that we should not financially support (buy the stuff they sell) those who use those profits to fund the groups that are trying to destroy our Constitution and our country.

The nature of Soros' business is such that few of us are in a position to patronize him anyway. I doubt that the minimum investment for any of his funds is below $10 million. The underlying assets in his funds are incredibly diversified, consisting mostly of non-control positions in publicly-traded securities, currency positions, and holdings in a wide range of hedge funds and private equity funds which are run by unaffiliated managers who are not selected for their political views.

You are probably right. Perhaps there is another way to demonize him and punish him financially.

OTOH, there are many Liberal/Socialist/Marxist Bastards that we can get to. All we have to do is know who they are and then boycott them -- not buy their stuff, watch their movies, etc., etc.

Economic warfare will work. All we have to do is have a "non-shopping" list of those companies and individuals to be blacklisted and then stay away from them as much as possible.

I try to shop "politically" now, but it is difficult because I cannot identify the good guys and the bad guys.

I suspect I am not alone in this regard. Somewhere on the Internet there has got to be a list of companies and organizations we can support and a list of companies and organizations to boycott.

Anybody know of the existent of such a list?
