In the interests of justice and truth, I have to sometime wonder why the prosecution is not obligated to turn over to the defense, exculpatory evidence. For example, the prosecution was not exactly forthcoming with some of the sliding glass door fingerprint evidence and the .22 shell evidence.

Good question! She said that the fibers looked deteriated..but didn't say of the colors faded either by sun or chemicals..I don't think.

I was wondering something similar....could the orange fibers be faded enough from laundry and the elements to look similar to mauve carpet like the VD's?..missed too much of testimony to know if that is not possible.

Not if her mom hugged her before she left that evening.

The defense certainly was given the .22 evidence, else how could they have brought it up? Same for all the other evidence.

There have been zero requests for, therefore zero given, sanctions on the prosecution for discovery violation.

Trust me on this, Kim. Acrylic doesn't fade.

Maybe the inside of a jacket could be microscopically damaged, but not visible to the naked eye?

Excellent question! In San Diego, I would think an afternoon or two could be sufficient for fading, say, in a sun baked windshield or such.

Why does it seem that Feldman is pointing to the body as having been placed there sometime between the 16th and 18th - but he doesn't seem to be pointing to Damon as having anything to do with it - we all know when Damon did his search - but the jury doesn't - do you think Feldman will be able to bring that up?

but they still could have tested the fibers from the inside of the jacket for similarity - they probably don't match.

The witness seemed very firm that it was orange fiber. I don't believe even Feldman disputed this.

You are correct about polyester fibers usually not being staple. Acrylic, on the other hand, is almost always a staple fiber and crimpled so that is has a soft feel and appearance like wool. 1.5-3.0 inches would be very common for acrylic fibers.

Well, see, I did miss a bunch....thought the orange was carpet fiber....where did the orange fiber some from?...is that why she spent 2 days trying to match the afghan to the fiber, but didn't....do we know yet what the orange fiber is from?.

Did Danielle take a shower/bath before going to bed that night? If so, BVD's red sweater fibers shouldn't be present.

It was just a thought. I still believe that BVD had something going on with DW. Not too far-fetched. BVD plays/gives hugs to Danielle sometime before going out to "girls' night out". BVD and DW later on are rolling around in the MH. Lots of fiber transference going on. Danielle's body, having red fibers on her necklace, is exposed to elements/sun and fibers get dis-colored.

I keep thinking of those hunters jackets and pants that are bright orange so they do not get shot by accident..does anyone know if the bullet that was in the girls bedroom could have been from a hunting rifle?
