Snow Bunny, my son Steve (MedProf) just called on my cell hone to say he has been unable to get back online, storms there affecting his ISP connection, like so many around the South.

He asked me to convey his regret he isn't able to thank everyone personally tonight and make replies to all the posts to him.

He truly DOES know GatorGirl's husband, and is anxious to renew their friendship!

We tied ours to the fence to keep all the canes going in the right direction and to keep them up off the lawn and out of the way of the mower. It is still looking good, in spite of the evil weather we've had in the last week. (More coming. Just got the warning that there are serious T-storms headed this way with high winds (80mph), 3" hail and heavy rain.) Just what we need. The ground is SATURATED. The fields are losing more and more acreage to water.

Did I tell you the baby finch flew the coop? The nest is empty. He came back once, but didn't stay. Now we will take it down and weight it before more finches come for the second brood.
