I agree, Some here wanted him to ask the Secret Service guy to bring him the football as we all watched him punch in the launch codes and turn Mecca into green glass. Thank God we have adults leading us, and not one of these utopian, dream world, have it my way or I burn the city down, "True" conservatives calling the shots huh?

Too many have forgotten that perfection is a far distant goal and we must all live in the real world.
Kind of sad that once again the so called 'conservatives' are attacking the President. Guess they want to show us again that they can punish the President and give us another eight years of hell because they didn't get their way.

It's worse than sad, All I can say is their perception of history can't see past this mornings breakfast

But, I will say this, any chance of a third party went up in smoke when PJB was finished with the reform party, Old deep throat made certain of that

Agreed, oldfriend. We have to remember how long this conflict has been going on: almost a century, since the first European Zionists began to return to a land that was, unfortunately, claimed by two peoples.
The British failed, the League of Nations failed, the UN failed, and the US has also failed on numerous occasions to bring a workable solution to this problem.
Bush basically told them how things should be, what's got to be done to get there, and now - it's up to them. He was sympathetic to Israel, but asked also for things that the Palestinians (whoever they are now, since most of the original Palestinians are long gone) claim to want for the building of their state. He basically told them to get rid of Arafat and start all over again. I liked this speech a lot.

I agree.
Fred Barnes was happy tonight he said Bush must have read his article. Anyhoo Arafat has to be replaced ,Bush has never supported the man and now Arafat has dug his own grave.

"I'm smilling knowing that the GW purple cool-aid crowd are ticked off"<p.I already could see that, but tell me how Bush is in support of a Terrorist State for Palistinians? Since that is what you WANT to believe. My guess is you had a sudden jerking sensation in the kneee area that caused you to make such a comment

try some manners SunStar... name calling is first step to drinking purple coolaid... Truth hurts dont it? Yes. It must hurt to be such a dumbass that you can't even understand such a simple speech. It's so all clear, in black and white, and yet you still try to see a conspiracy.

When Arafat was elected in '96, how long a term? Has it expired?
To: withteeth
When you have an election at gunpoint, there is no term limits :-)

It does make me stronger...I'm smilling knowing that the GW purple cool-aid crowd are ticked off. But reality is part of life... I'm ticked off because Bush vindicated himself today, and you are too blind to see it. All you Bush-bashers who NEVER, EVER give him the benefit of the doubt, were just proven wrong. You based all your attacks of late on the media's portrayal of the impending Bush "Palestinian state" speech. Well, they were wrong, and you went right along with the establishment media, who you claim to disbelieve. It is you who drank the kool-aid this time around.

If diplomatic language translates to lying
In this case, not lying so much as leading by helping others to find the good in themselves that perhaps even they are not yet aware of. You might find that this fits the technical definition of lying -- not being literally true -- but it does not fit the negative connotations normally associated with that word.
