Last night during a conversation/debate between myself and the leader/owner of the Free Republic, Jim Robinson, a rather stunning revelation was brought forth. I asked Mr. Robinson, which Republicans were vocally backing, and supporting Tancredo in his fight for our sovereignty? After some delay, Jim answered, “I have no idea. Immigration is not a big concern of mine.”

This is from the man that runs the most well known, and respected, political conservative internet forum in the United States? And Mr. Robinson resides in California?

Since you failed to answer my question, I will go first.

Given thirty years of this open border, immigration "free for all" that has resulted in many millions entering our nation illegally, I believe there are very few Republicans, or anyone else in DC, besides Tancredo, that are visibly and vocally fighting for our national sovereignty.

Now would you care to tell me which Republicans are standing with Tancredo and voicing outrage against this titanic, never ending invasion of illegal aliens?

At first I as was stunned, angry, and felt let down. Then after some thought I wasn’t too surprised.

Looking back at all the hundreds of immigration threads where many were deleted, disappeared and sent to the cornfield, I guess I am not too surprised. However, given the gravity and danger this country faces regarding this out of control, titanic immigration issue, I am still outraged, disheartened and saddened by Mr. Robinson’s response. Thread after thread Freepers have displayed genuine outrage and honest concern regarding this issue. And the outrage and insanity regarding this issue goes far beyond the Free Republic.

It’s escalated to the point now where many of our major cities in this country, such as Chicago, have now approved the use of identification cards, issued by Mexican consulates that will give illegal aliens access to financial and public services and more, as our so-called leaders stand treasonously silent, as our sovereignty is slowly dismantled.

This massive invasion of millions of illegal aliens has changed the face of many of our once great cities, from California to Illinois, to Georgia, to Tennessee, to Texas etc etc.

They are crowding our already over crowded classrooms, voting in our elections, choking off our social services, driving down the wages, while driving up our taxes, filling our jails, standing room only in many big city emergency rooms, etc, etc, etc. I personally know of six American citizens that have become victims of illegal alien crime, from having family members slaughtered on our highways by drunk driving illegal aliens, to stabbings, robberies and common burglaries.

And just recently, another young Deputy Sheriff was shot through the face and killed in California by an illegal alien, that has again fled back to the safety of Mexico. It has now been learned that this individual has already been deported three times, each time he has returned and committed more crimes in our country, leaving American victims in his wake, and each time he fled back to the safety of Mexico.

There are many forms of terrorism, and this continued invasion of millions upon millions is one form. And it's my opinion that it’s one of the most dangerous, most threatening issues facing America today. Even today as we speak, our federal government continues to allow in almost 8000 Middle Eastern men a month on visas. It is my opinion that this legal and illegal “immigration free for all” must be, stopped, extremely limited, and reformed immediately!

Again, I am extremely saddened and distressed by Mr. Robinson's response and lack of concern regarding this issue.

And that is Clair Wolfe's point. We can't drop by the local polling station to vote for independence either. Our choices are Socialist(D) and Socialist(R). She's not advocating violence - yet.

You know, you're right. I should have known by the tenor of your post that you wouldn't take kindly to blunt statements of opinion from me, taking issue with your behavior in Jim's house. For that I apologize. And you are also right about being fortunate that I don't have the "power" on who stays or goes around here. I would be here by myself if that were the case. Jim is quite tolerant and while you might not think your remarks were an attack ... well we all come to the table with different perspectives.

And while I am at it Joe if I had invited you into my house and you made the following comment about how I felt about something, you bet I think I would invite you to leave.

Now you can get as "outraged" at me as you wish. It is a shame as we are more than likely more in agreement with each other on political issues than we aren't. But you invited comments from everyone concerning your words, from all who visit FreeRepublic.com by making a separate thread pointing out how outraged you were at Jim Robinson.

So deflect your poor manners upon me if you like, but the bottom line is that you at his invitation, in the common vernacular, "dissed" your host, in my opinion. And if being around here some years means anything, which it doesn't, but you brought it up, you're a newbie in comparison to many others.

I would suggest, and trust me I know it won't be a welcomed suggestion, that if you can't stand the heat of disagreement don't start your own "Vanity Thread" and then mis-represent facts and not expect to get some heat.

That 99.5% of the voters reject their ideology is no indictment against the enfranchisement of the public, but against their ideology. Anyone who claims it's too late to work from within the system has no business calling themselves conservatives, period. And I would like to know what business anyone has at FreeRepublic who believes that voting is passe. There are militia nutcase websites they could go haunt instead.

Well, I didn't know that Clair Wolfe was on FreeRepublic. Take the argument up with her. Did I say that I agreed with her or was I instead correcting someone who misrepresented her point of view?

If I thought voting was passe, I wouldn't be running for Republican Party Precinct Committeeman nor working on a campaign for a Republican running for Congress. Instead, I would be heading for the hills with provisions and ammunition and logging in to the "militia nutcase" websites you speak of.

That doesn't mean, however, that Clair Wolfe has no valid points. Heck, she may be 100% right and you and I just haven't fully realized it yet. As for me, I will just keep working within the system, however futile it might actually be, because I'm not prepared to accept the alternative.

I apologize, Jim. Maybe I should have been clearer. And everyone knows I'm given to hyperbole and taking very unpopular positions on things. It's my nature. And every time I start to find myself in agreement with Clair Wolfe, I refuse to accept it and I go back to bang my head against the same wall in futility. I saw a glimmer of hope in my local Republican Party and I've latched on to it. I hope it pans out this time.

Actually, we do probably disagree on something. As much as I want Republicans to control the Senate - and to send the Dems packing - there is nothing anyone could say to me or threaten me with that would make me vote for John McCain again. Nothing. If the Republicans want that Senate seat to stay Republican, they better quickly find a candidate to beat McCain in the Primary in 2004.
