Thats fantastic. I figured you had to be after reading your posts on this thread. As Texas RLC Secretary I salute you!

joe hadenuf and the other anti immigration people are mostly talking about kicking out the mexicans. 9/11 is irrelevant to them. You fail to answer my simple question and then you make an idiotic statement like this?
Very revealing....

I can respect that. I didn't know they had a racist slant. I like and respect Mexicans and grew up enjoying their culture. I am not racist and don't want to spread racist material. I don't think most here who are against amnesty would be happy to find out they'd been fooled. I just want people to come here legal, fair and square. And I expect them to learn and respect our Constitution, and take a stab at our language.
Im glad Joe started this thread, because I have learned some things on this complicated issue and found points I need to re-think. By getting Jim Robinson here, you kinda told folks behave and keep a cool head which made for a better debate.
Thanks Jim for the straight answer for sharing your thoughts on this, and the motivation to start a list of conservative candidates for the ballot box, which is a first! I'm a recovering liberal. Clinton pissed off a lot of people. It's been therapuetic and fun to find out you are a conservative whilst among those hate the Clintons!!!!! Thank God for FreeRepublic

How about looking at the big immigrant states like texas and florida? They vote republican. Besides, if you deported every non white (even the citizen non immigrant blacks) in New York, it would still vote democrat In Florida the hispanics vote Republican because of cuba.
Texas? lol see where it is in 5 years or less
BTW Deport citizens? I hope you're kidding

Yeah, just coincidentally, one of the members of the Fresno RLC came to dinner with us last night after our FResno FReep. I didn't even know we had a Fresno RLC Chapter. I asked if I could join and he said you just did. LOL
To: Jim Robinson
Thats really great to hear. Amazing how easy it is to become a member huh? LOL!
Another thing that amazes me is how many republicans cringe when they hear we are the libertarian Ron Paul wing of the GOP, when in fact if they read any of our literature that would see we are nothing more than strict constitutionalists who believe in freedom.
I'll pass it along to some of our national guys and let them know we hooked a big fish! hehehe Welcome aboard Sir.

actions against employers which would be effective. Too many employers and industries are reaping huge short-term benefits from the employment of illegal immigrants Did you know that you just admitted that you think 1)illegals work and 2) they provide some benefit to industry
I think you shall soon be drawn and quartered by joe hadenuf.

Nice.
So do you believe that there are no terrorist in this country currently?

My thoughts exactly.....

joe hadenuf and the other anti immigration people are mostly talking about kicking out the mexicans. 9/11 is irrelevant to them. If 9/11 had not happened, they would still be saying the same things and so would you.Whoever you are, you must not live in a city where the hijackers went to flight school, like Phoenix or Prescott AZ. Too close for me. Don't you dare put words in my mouth. And that's Anti ILLEGALimmigration. And it sure gets old correcting that, when YOU folks leave out a crucial part of OUR viewpoint. And it's an Equal Opportunity viewpoint.

Illegal aliens don't pay income taxes like the rest of us do.

Thank you very much.

Illegal aliens don't pay income taxes like the rest of us do. actually, they pay the same amount of income tax that an american citizen working at minimum wage does, which is zero.

Many immigrants want the socialist nanny-state to take care of all of their needs. They then reward the socialist nanny-state by voting overwhelminly for Democrats so that Gray Davis, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer and Hillary Clinton can forever expand the scope, activity and powere of US socialism.
Jim, I would think this was a direct corollary of your primary concern, and as such, I thought the immigration/socialism cycle would be a major hot-button issue for you. I guess I am surprised as well.
To: Freedom_Is_Not_Free
I think the Democrat control of California has a lot more to do with liberalism than it does with illegal immigration.
To: Jim Robinson
Boy, that's one way of defense, change the name of the thread. LOL!
To: Jim Robinson
Jim...
I wish I had your optimism. A realist sometimes sees thing he does not like.
