Then read the Patriot Act AND the Homeland security department plan. Or do you consider both unconstitutional as so many around here do?

Waitaminute. You say the terrorists were here illegally and this is a fault of our national immigration policy. You say that there are laws on the books and they were being broken. So, are you going to propose even more laws? More laws do not neccesarily prevent crime. More federal power and/or federal programs will not solve our problems. Gun control laws do not keep guns out of the hands of criminals and immigration laws will not stop terrorists. Red herring.

"Most people have no problem seeing that the main reason for this uncontrolled illegal movement from the south is to have an unlimited supply of cheap labor" And illegal votes.

Dead people don't care whether they were murdered for their classism or for the parking ticket they tried to hand out. You may want to bookmark this thread to threaten me with blackmail later, but I agree with you on this. This may be the only thing we will ever agree on,though.

Or my #206 reply to #201.

"America is in that awkward stage. It's too late to work within The System, and too early to shoot the bastards." -Che Guevara Not Che Guevara. The quote is from a conservative writer named Clair Wolfe. She's written a number of books to include "101 Things To Do Before The Revolution" and "101 More Things To Do Before The Revolution" and "Don't Shoot The Bastards (Yet)". I believe she also writes for the Sierra Times.

I respectfully point out to you that conservatives do not advocate hopelessness and political violence. If anyone really believes that the use of the ballot box is passé, then they really have no business here at FR.

You say that there are laws on the books and they were being broken. So, are you going to propose even more laws? NO JIM, enforce the laws that we already have! They were illegal under current laws!
AND I am not saying that enforcement would have stopped 9/11 but it may have been a warning sign that someone might have noticed! (did I say that?)

I would hope that the invasion that is occuring on our southern border with Mexico would be of more concern to everyone,They won't stop it. They're afraid to

Then read the Patriot Act AND the Homeland security department plan. Or do you consider both unconstitutional as so many around here do? In some ways yes, but that is a very tough call. I have no problem with them holding this dirty Bomb suspect, but some things in those bills I feel go over the line! TOO MUCH POWER.

Now you're talking! If the leftist socialist liberal communists in our government win; then we have the U.N. calling all the shots (I am deeply concerned over
these results.) The U.N. is currently and quite heavily; pushing for us to usurp our constitution and sovereignty with their global governance/ICC/ AKA New World Order tyrannical ideals.
So the repeal of our entire constitution is at stake at the leftist liberal's hands. This should be chief concern quite sadly, said... over repealing the 16th-17th amendments.
We may not have a constitution to repeal if the ilk of the leftist democrats use their political spins and Hitler-like tactics to get back in the drivers seat.

THANKS, It's going to be a long read!

A continuation... the send button got hit on accident.
Immigration is a pertinent issue. From Ted Turner to most democrats, they want globalization, therefore leaving the U.S. with no sovereignty at all.
A tight-handed fist on immigration would curtail the leftist's earth in the balance, new world, utopia, tyrannical order of ideals.

Once someone overstays their Visa they become Illegal! This much is inordinately clear. Yet some will continue to try to minimize, or cloud the fact that several of these murdering terrorist SOBs were here illegally. Period. No debate.
And some of these same people cannnot see that there are many forms of terrorism, such as this titanic invasion of millions. All forms of terrorism are not limited to fanatics flying aircraft into buildings.
To: ned
Maybe. But this is proposing further burdening our already over-burdened private sector with even more federal restrictions and bureaucracy. Are you proposing giving the feds even more power than they already have? To allow them to make armed raids on our factories and small businesses? Allow them to suspend the fourth amendment?
The Congress has the power to regulate immigration and I can see setting reasonable immigration quotas and strengthening our borders, etc, but I do not buy into more federal power or conducting federal raids of private businesses, and or Janet Reno style armed swat teams dragging suspected illegals out of their domiciles.
To: Cultural Jihad
If anyone really believes that the use of the ballot box is passé, then they really have no business here at FR. Really?
How about the people in Orange County California who watched Dornan's seat stolen by voter fraud?
How about the people in St. Louis, who saw a lawsuit filed by a dead man to keep the polls open so they could stuff the ballot box?.
How about what happened in Florida?
Want me to go on?
BTW How many illegals vote? Lots of them!
To: Texasforever
Then read the Patriot Act AND the Homeland security department plan. While one takes the time to read the patriot act, another several hundred illegal aliens have entered our country, some with possible agendas of death, while millions upon millions are already here, laughing at the patriot act.
