Americans for Democratic Action, "the nation's oldest liberal political organization," unveiled its Liberal Agenda for a Secure Nation at the group's annual national conference in Washington this weekend.

Guest speakers told more than 200 ADA delegates that the Democratic Party can win the 2002 and 2004 elections only by adhering to a platform of "liberal values" that downplays the importance of combating terrorism and developing a missile defense shield.

"This president has an IQ of 88," Rep. Diane Watson, California Democrat, said also on Friday. "That tells you something." Miss Watson added that Mr. Bush's administration actually is run by a "shadow government" consisting of "his father and the guy who calls himself the vice president." "The '88' certainly isn't making the decisions," she said.

Diane Watson: the Peter Principle personified, projecting her constituency's IQ onto GW.

Yes, keep worshiping definitions while self-worshiping. What a crock. What about people's agenda? Did that ever cross their mind???

Still other panelists downplayed President Bush's high approval and job performance ratings. "It's slipping. George W. Bush has not abolished the laws of political gravity," said Mr. Mellman. "What goes up must come down."

Well...DUH. It's the been the highest, for the the longest period, of ANY President, EVER!! Where else could the approval numbers go but down? Quick, somebody call Harvard....I think there missing professor is here.

They wish President Clinton had built the kind of record achieved so far by President Bush. It leaves them hopping mad for they don't really have anything to run on in the Fall. All the liberals can do is whine whine whine how bad things have gotten and hope no one will notice everything is getting better.

"Bill Clinton ran for president, promised he would raise taxes and won," Mr. Greenberg said.

No, The Scumbag promised a middle-class tax cut and then promptly raised taxes, retroactively, when he was reelected. Later, he admitted to the press that he raised taxes too much but refused to give anything back to the people because he claimed that the money wasn't theirs. What a lying creep!

"There's more to winning an election than war, education and the economy,"

Hahaha. Doesn't leave much.

"Nationalized health care,..."

Shut up and visit a VA Hospital, if you want to see how the Government runs a system. Or visit the UK. And stay there.

If this luminary is representative of the Liberal Agenda, they are indeed desperate.

If telling lies were to suddenly become impossible, liberals would quickly become extinct because their entire 'house of cards' is built on lies and deception.

"Bill Clinton ran for president, promised he would raise taxes and won," Mr. Greenberg said

Sure he did.

In announcing his intention to seek the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton called for a jobs plan to lift the country out of its economic recession, tax cuts for the middle class,

Like you expect liberals to tell the truth? The reason for their success has nothing to do with their philosophy and everything to do with their being able to convince people they can truly have something for nothing.

"Bill Clinton ran for president, promised he would raise taxes and won,"

I seem to recall that he promised not to raise taxes and then proceeded to levy the largest increase since WW II.

steelworkers union President Leo Gerard

How many union members does he have? Beth Steel was delisted from the NYSE. Beth Steel used to be part of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. I'm really interested in what the president of the steel workers union has to say.

"In 1998, Congresswoman Watson served her nation as the United States Ambassador to the Federated States of Micronesia."

But only because the position of United States Ambassador to the planet Pluto had already been filled.

You're right. I have an ongoing argument w/ a family member....I ask "Well, what do the democrats want to do, what is THEIR plan"? All I hear out of them is critism, name calling, etc. Of course, I get NOTHING in the way of a "plan", just Bush this, and Bush that. I guess that's enough for some people. Geez

"They wish President Clinton had..."

When using the words "President" and "Clinton" back-to-back, I think we should all add the word "Impeached" in front of them. Thus the sentence would begin, "Impeached President Clinton had...". After all, this is his proper title.
