You are right on the money. I firmly believe that many of those carping are not really politically active anyway. They just like to carp. Sitting behind a computer and spouting of is easy...it's the nitty gritty part of campaign work that's difficult. My question to all the naysayers is, okay then, just what the hell to you intend on doing to insure that more conservatives get elected? You're going to wage a boycott and vote for the Dems to teach the GOP a lesson? Yeah, that's the ticket. It's pure BS this nonsense about not voting or voting for the opponent to prove a point. The only message that gets across is who won the election, period. It doesn't really by how much but just who won.
For me, I intend on doing everything that I can to help get the Senate back in the GOP's hands come November. The whiners just want to whine and they will continue to do so not matter what. They love their moral victories; that way they can hold their noses up at the rest of us and pooh-pooh us Bushbots for not being true conservatives. And frankly, if their idea of being a true conservative is to be like them, than they can have it and I will proudly say that I am not a conservative; if it means joining their chorus, forget it.
TAKE BACK THE SENATE!!! That's the mantra.

You know; I just thought of the very same thing. I figured that if these unpleasant people consider themselves 'true conservatives', and this is the way they behave, I don't want to be a 'true conservative'. But I wonder if some, if not most of them themselves, are really conservatives at all. There are a lot of give-aways in what some of them say.
I consider myself to be a just plain old conservative. If that's not good enough for them, that's too bad. If I'm a liberal to them, so be it! I figure it depends on what you're conservative or liberal about, anyway. It all lies in perception.
