Maybe the Compliment thread made me all warm and fuzzy, but I have been doing some serious thinking today.

I was thinking back to the 1996 election; I was NOT for Dole, but once the party chose him, I supported him fully. I did NOT carp and whine and try to tear him down. I did not say I wasn't going to vote for him; I worked for the GOOD of this country -- and, in all honesty, to GET BILL CLINTON out of there -- so we could retake and reshape this country.

I believe we need to focus on the elections now and STOP being distracted by all the "noise" going on on this web site; I believe distraction IS their goal; and I believe the people among us who are not for George W. Bush will and probably ARE organizing a "stay at home" protest, thinking they will somehow teach us and the country "a lesson." And I believe that they would be happy to see Bush lose just to prove themselves "right," however twisted we may think that would be.

Now, we have two choices. We can sit here and spin our wheels or we can go out and fight like hell to reclaim the Senate to make this country a much better place to live for ourselves and those who follow us, or we can sit here and argue among ourselves.

I choose Door Number 1. I believe George W. Bush is doing everything he can humanly do for this country in the situation he has found himself in. I intend to fully support him in 2004, and I intend to work and vote for Republican candidates this fall, so that we can reclaim the Senate and GET CONSERVATIVE JUDGES PUT ON THE BENCHES, among other things.

As for being a BushBot, as I told several people today, I wear that label, which they seem to believe is a smear, proudly. If it means I support Bush as president of the United States, even though I don't agree with every single word he says, then they can call me whatever they want.

Remember when liberals called us "Clinton haters?" Remember how proudly we wore that label? To me, it's the same thing. I, for one, am not going to waste my time trying to convince people who don't want to be convinced that Bush is our only hope. I do, however, reserve the right to TRY to correct obvious innocent errors in statements made and TRY to slap down the REALLY BIG LIES.....LOL.

Just my thoughts. I'll probably be flamed, but I know a lot of us are upset about some of the things I've discussed here. I'd be interested in hearing any CONSTRUCTIVE advice/information any of you have. (But I won't respond to taunts on this thread.)

I'm with you, Howlin. I haven't been thrilled with everything, but I will not publicly bash the President. He has my full support. I do believe our world is changing because of threats known & unknown & we are in uncharted waters. I cannot think of anyone I'd rather have as the captain of my ship, than George W. Bush.

Howlin, I'm with you on this one! I see no sense in sitting back and doing nothing, or sitting around criticizing the President, Senate, Congress if we are not going to take a proactive position and work for Republican candidates in the hope that once we reclaim the Senate conservative judges can be appointed.

Personally, I love being a BushBot - certainly feels better than being a Clinton Hater and has infinitely more future to it.

Howlin, I could not agree with you more. We must be united and forget the distractors except to politely tell them how they are wrong. But our main business is to get a republican house and senate.

I belong to a Hispanic Republican club and we are working on getting the vote out and we are working on recruiting more people. I think especially here in Texas with the democrat "dream team" of a hispanic for governor, black for senator and an anglo for Lt. governor, that we all must work hard even in our local/state level.

But to the whole country it is most important to get the President the people he needs to get his agenda going and that means a republican house and senate.

I am so impressed with Bush and his deep feelings about God and the country and the love for his country and then there is that liberal agenda that must come to a halt as I can't imagine my children growing up in a liberal/socialist world.

AMEN!!

I write a letter to the editor of my local newspaper once a month informing the public about the misdeeds of the dastardly Democrats. (Actually, I could write one more often, but the rule is one a month.)

For some reason, my paper usually doesn't publish these facts so I get a kick out of doing it!!!! In fact, once the editor called me and asked me where I got my info. Amazing, isn't it??

My goal is to influence senior citizens, who read the paper faithfully, to vote Republican. What made me truly happy was that a friend who voted for Al Gore told me she likes President Bush.

I've been avoiding those negative threads and enjoy coming here for the dose at the end of the day. (As far as I'm concerned, these whiners are irrelevant.)

I love and totally agree with your post #47. I am an enthusiastic Bush supporter and will do whatever I can to see that the Republicans regain control of the Senate as well as keeping control of the House. I will do whatever I can to see that Bush is reelected in 2004. I think he is just the right man in the right place at the right time. On top of all of that, his chief advisor is the person he prays to daily for advise and strength to do what's right for our great country.

I'm ready!! I've mobilized my very large, very enthusiastic, very influential family. I'm an active member of the national, state and local Republican Party -- and trying to get more active (as my crazy schedule permits). If there is anything else I (or my family) can do, just let me know!!

Who will you be flamed by in this thread? We all have flame-retardant undies.

Yes, the time is right to focus on the November election. We don't have to abandon discussion of issues, especially with the naysayers. But I do believe that the Senate is the goal that all of us should focus on.

I agree wholeheartedly. I trust President Bush. Even through some decisions that he has made that on the surface I have disagreed with. I believe he wants the best for America and I will be with him through 2008.

Please, you all remember our president in your daily prayers.

Hey you guys. I saw the clips today on TV and thought "Note to self: CHECK THE DOSE!" WOW W LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! **faint** Notice how Laura didn't show her legs but wore pants instead. Classy classy classy.

LOL Good to see y'all again- it certainly has been awhile. I have been underground lately- studying for the Missouri Bar exam, looking for a job- my husband just got laid off through a corporate acquisition and is looking for a job and I had a spot of melanoma taken off my arm- 13 stitches- and one spot taken off my hiney that ended up not being anything but my dermatologists' overactive imagination (just kidding- glad he is cautious) and 5 stitches there. Life just kicking me in the butt- but it's good to hop on in here and see you guys are the same old great group.

Howlin- posted to this post b/c I want to know where W was when that photo was taken because I love what it says above the door.

Oh Howlin, my heroine! I could not agree with you more! It is more important than ever that we stand our ground and do all we can to help elect Republicans to the Senate and the House and get Bush reelected. I heard a radio show today with an ex FBI agent who is spilling the beans on the FBI under Clinton, and it is no wonder no one saw 911 coming.
It would be no different if a RAT is elected again. He praised the job Mueller is doing already, saying he is doing the right things and getting the agency in order like it should be.
Thanks so much for what you said, and know that many of us will join you in keeping the country on the right track!
BushBots forever, whatever in the world that is! LOL!

YOU said IT!!!! and VERY WELL......I agree with you - I believe President Bush is doing the best he can with what he has (split Congress, War, idiots in the press, etc.) I, too, remember 1996.....I wrote a 2-page, single spaced letter to friends and family trying to warn them NOT to vote for Clinton - I am sure I was considered "weird" at the time......but, obviously, I've been vindicated. (And, I've NEVER once said "I told you so.") BUT, I DO believe we HAVE to have the CONGRESS controlled for the President's party before he/we can really do ANYTHING - and we get nowhere beating up our own......I don't agree with everything the President has done, but, like you, I will NOT disagree in public. Just what the media needs is people "unhappy" with their President - especially a Republican one....NOT me, nope.....no way.....the media gives me the incentive to keep my mouth closed, and to only speak positive things in "public."

Well said, Howlin!!!!!!!!!!

We rented "Black Hawk Down" tonight - aka Clinton's finest hour.

I'm so upset right now...I ...

Thank God we have a grown up, someone we can trust and respect living in the people's house, and not renting out the rooms, for a change!

God Bless You George Bush, and thank you for taking the job. The things you must know...and have to deal with on a daily basis... May God guide you.

Know that we're behind you all the way, Sir!

LET'S ROLL!!!!!

The only difference between those of us who wear this label now,
and those who are among us now, and see what we see, but will wait to wear it later, is vision.
