President Bush and First Lady Laura hosted the first ever Presidential Fitness Challenge today in Washington. The President and White House staff participated in a three-mile run, while Laura joined the mile walk. Bush finished 26th with a personal best time of 20:29. After finishing the race, the President said he 'felt great.' Tomorrow, the Presidential fitness weekend will continue with another game of tee ball at the White House. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I can't believe the President has the gaul to tell me to exercise! If I want to be a beer guzzling, chip-eating slob, then by gum, it's my right as an American!

Yeah! Clintoon would have hid in the bushes and jumped out near the finish line to take bows. And the press would have pretended not to see him do it.

Great job, Dr. Scarpetta!

I have only done one 15-20 minute walk. Second one is after dinner.

My thoughts exactly!

It's almost as bad as his phony trip to see the old folks exercise.

Why, he could see that right here if he'd just come back to Texas (I'm fixing to take my walk ...it's finally cool enough at 8 PM)

Ya know, this is really gonna upset his base. If he keeps doing things like this I'm not gonna vote for him in '04. It's probably gonna affect the races this year, too. / whiney weasel imitation off

No mulligans for this man!

Yes, to think he actually finished the race instead of doing an obligatory quarter mile run for the benefit of the press corps. Even better, no bouncing chest and stomach on W!
