We rented "Black Hawk Down" tonight - aka Clinton's finest hour.We rented it last night, and I was furious, too! Couldn't even concentrate during the movie, because I was so mad at Clinton. Do you remember if he was actually blamed for this disaster? We noticed at the end that "the general accepted full responsibility..." or something to that effect. I was stomping around here for hours after the movie ended.
Hi, BG-- I'm here. What did you say my niece was up to?
To: Brad's Gramma
When you would realize that you were being a dork by not mentioning me! (*smile*)

I worked at McD's in 74-75 while in high school. Had to MAKE the food back then and wear HAIRNETS.Hey mama, you were a burger flipper, too? I worked at Burger King from 1971-1774 while I was in college. I had the distinction of being the only girl on the crew who could stay until 1am on the weekends (which turned out to be 3 am after clean up) because I lived at home and didn't have a dorm curfew! "Would you like a hot apple pie?"

I read your post to hubby, his brother, and my brother (ex-101st Airborne Ranger/Viet Nam). We are all having the same reactions on different levels here, too.
Hubby had a dream that we were eating in a restaurant and this guy looked exactly like Clinton from the side, and I told hubby that I'd be with him in a minute, and proceeded to go over to this guy and "chew him out" - then realized it wasn't Clinton.
How 'bout that? After seeing this movie, I wish hubby's dream would come true, and it really WOULD be Mr. Slime...sitting there waiting for me to "enlighten him" ...so to speak!

Good for you!
I had forgotten that the 22nd was the day this race / walk was scheduled but I did my part on the Left Coast and walked briskly for almost two hours on an exercise trail along the Seattle waterfront, stopping only to use the binoculars and the pullchain facility, once each. We went for a late afternoon - sunset walk and the sun, Mt. Rainier, the light clouds and the moon were all in extraordinary color and beauty. Salt air does it for me. What a joy.
