President Bush and First Lady Laura hosted the first ever Presidential Fitness Challenge today in Washington. The President and White House staff participated in a three-mile run, while Laura joined the mile walk. Bush finished 26th with a personal best time of 20:29. After finishing the race, the President said he 'felt great.' Tomorrow, the Presidential fitness weekend will continue with another game of tee ball at the White House. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

o.k. It was a political rally. Well, if they are the peaceful Muslims we've been led to believe are the real believers of Islam, maybe this is the beginning of a political movement that will lead to good things for all of us. Let's hope so.

I remember that the only way LBJ was elected to the Senate was by ballot stuffing in Duval county. And if I remember correctly there were lots of voting irregularities in Houston during the last Mayor's election. Disappearing ballot boxes and lost boxes. And lots of late returns that were almost all for the winner and current Mayor of Houston. There were lots of posts on the FR about it at the time. They are probably in the archives.

Can I still get those pic from the RNC? If so, what's the phone number again?

The pictures were offered as part of a fund-raising/invitation to The President's Dinner which was held on June 19th - and of course you posted some beautiful pics from there!!!

THE PRESIDENT'S DINNER

I just called there the other day (6/17) and spoke to a young man named Todd, asking where my pics were - I ordered them as soon as I got the invite in the mail. Todd told me to check back again next week because they were sooooooooo busy getting ready for the dinner and they had been overwhelmed with requests for those photos.

I'm sure if Kirk has something fishy in his background regarding terrorists it will come out as the campaign drags on. All I know is I don't like his politics.

We can hope, can't we? I'm glad this came up and I had a chance to read the article. My vague recollection of what I'd heard was worse than the reality.

I agree wholeheartedly. I trust President Bush. Even through some decisions that he has made that on the surface I have disagreed with. I believe he wants the best for America and I will be with him through 2008.

Please, you all remember our president in your daily prayers.

I can't believe how laid back everyone is about tonight's pictures. Where are Lawgirl and OhioWfan when we need them? LOL!

Used to be on a night like this we would all need to be reminded to tone it down. Are we ladies getting old or what? :-/

That's great that you not only took one walk but 2, now you know that hard part is keeping it up. ohhhhh that is so hard. But I am also pretty proud of myself. Yesterday morn I went walking about 730am with my 8yr old and we did 2 miles, got home, turned on FOX AND FREINDS and while I was getting my shower ready I watched all the fitness activities going on at the Whitehouse and then the speech. My son looked at me and said, MOM IS THAT WHY YOUR WALKING SO MUCH, BECAUSE GEORGE W IS TELLING YOU TO? I had to laugh because, does my family know me or what?

As a matter of fact yesterday was my 7th day in a row I had walked, but today I blew it, long story, but the guilt was there, so it is written in my sheduale for tomarrow.

Hey you guys. I saw the clips today on TV and thought "Note to self: CHECK THE DOSE!" WOW W LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! **faint** Notice how Laura didn't show her legs but wore pants instead. Classy classy classy.

LOL Good to see y'all again- it certainly has been awhile. I have been underground lately- studying for the Missouri Bar exam, looking for a job- my husband just got laid off through a corporate acquisition and is looking for a job and I had a spot of melanoma taken off my arm- 13 stitches- and one spot taken off my hiney that ended up not being anything but my dermatologists' overactive imagination (just kidding- glad he is cautious) and 5 stitches there. Life just kicking me in the butt- but it's good to hop on in here and see you guys are the same old great group.

Howlin- posted to this post b/c I want to know where W was when that photo was taken because I love what it says above the door.

(I fulfilled my pledge today, and took two walks today!)

Good for you!! I did 1/2 hour on the treadmill, but it would never let me go over 1/2 mile an hour because my heart rate was too high to begin with. I've had sort of heart palpitations all day, and getting a flushed feeling every now and then. Is this that hot flash crap I've been hearing about so much?

I'll try it again tomorrow. Thanks rintense for these great pics. It sure helps us on our Bush Babe Bod-a-thon journey, doesn't it?

These are just great! Laura's exercise looks like my style! LOL! First Mama can rock!
Is anyone else seeing their entire neighborhood out walking and jogging? I am. I was cursing the President this morning as I was sitting on my patio trying to listen to my favorite gardening show on the radio while half the city was tromping down the street beside me! :) I told my hubby that they were all listening to the President a little too much! LOL
Couldn't even enjoy my egg McMuffin and Hash browns for all those neighbors trying to get a dose of healthy!

A Saturday dose, a great surprise RWP!

So good to "see" you, lawgirl! You came on a very good night for the Dose. President Bush led that bunch of youngsters on that run - and while he didn't win - coming in 26th - at his age - while running with some obviously fit young guys - says much about his fitness. The picture of the President kissing his wife after the race is so sweet also....as in, "Honey - I made it and didn't embarrass you or me!"
