In a move that is attracting national attention, gubernatorial candidate Robert Reich has announced that he supports the right of gays and lesbians to marry.

The announcement, first reported earlier this week in Bay Windows and InNewsweekly, two Boston gay newspapers, sets the former US labor secretary apart from his major-party opponents. The four other Democratic candidates support Vermont-style civil unions, which provide most of the legal benefits of marriage but are not recognized by other states. Republican Mitt Romney opposes civil unions, but supports domestic partnership laws that would give gay couples access to health benefits and survivorship rights.

Ugh! Robert Reich is an even more disgusting little gnome than I thought he was. Massachusetts has some fine slate of candidates. Let's see-- the libertarian, the Green, and the Democratic candidates for governor support gay marriage-- that would make it easy for me to select, support, and vote for my candidate.

Reich says that, "by educating the public", HE will convince state residents to support gay marriages.

He further states that people haven't "focused" on the issue because "they don't fully understand it".

As a leading member and brown-shirt of the Turd-Reich, little Robert is true to fascist form. He knows all, we masses know nothing. But he'll straighten our thinking out, all-righty. He's probably getting the camps ready as we speak, in case the common herren volks don't go along with his ideology.

''Sometimes, more confusion is sowed by politicians who don't take clear stands - or want to, in a way, satisfy everyone without educating anyone about an issue,'' he said.
A little nugget of truth buried in the Barbra Streisand.

To further dignify this perverse issue to gain votes is an abomination. Give same sex couples legal rights in taxes, death wishes and rights to the others property etc. but marriage? out of the question!

By the way, is there a Mrs. Reich or has there ever been?

four other Democratic candidates support Vermont-style civil unions, which provide most of the legal benefits of marriage but are not recognized by other states. Republican Mitt Romney opposes civil unions, but supports domestic partnership laws that would give gay couples access to health benefits and survivorship rights. Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian candidate Carla Howell also support marriage for gays.

Now, let me see if I have this straight. There are eight candidates for this office from four different political parties. Three of the candidates supports gay marriage while five of the candidates support gay civil unions.

How interesting that the Boston Globe fails to point out that for those voters who are opposed to any caving to the gay agenda they have no candidate who represents their interests

That is how the left works. Choose either leftist solution A or leftist solution B--oh, yeah, and don't forget to vote!

Reich should be asked to explain how same-sex couples can join together as husband and wife, since that is what marriage is.
