Attention bush haters!

Are Bush-skeptics invited too?

Or is this only for Bush-lovers?

Medical breakthroughs will be far-reaching and arrive quickly this decade. Among them: cures for Alzheimer's, depression, Parkinson's, arthritis, much heart disease, AIDS, and several types of cancer, including stubborn forms of leukemia, lung cancer, and melanoma.

Wow, I didn't know that a vote for Bush was a vote to end all of these diseases!

Your "Attention Bush Haters" headline is gratuitous kool aid.

BTW, anytime someone says that AIDS will be cured you know they're full of nonsense. How many viruses has medicine ever "cured?"

The Bush record--

1) He has done little to change immigration to keep us safe.
2) He has abandoned vouchers
3) He has signed a bill for record federal spending on education
4) He has supported affirmative action in court
5) He is for granting amnesty to illegal aliens
6) He signed campaign finance
7) He supports a Palestinain terrorist state
8) His signing the airport security bill (federalizing employees)
9) His support of steel tariffs
10) Not going after clinton corruption
11) The massive farm bill
12) 500 million for AIDs
13) Has treated Saudi Arabia as a friend even though they're a terror sponsoring state

When I was younger I used to smoke that stuff. But never so early on a saturday morning. Sometimes I wonder why I gave it up. The dreams were so pleasant.

Said on another thread by another FRPR:
"Bush needs to buy a clue."

For those who have not yet noticed, there is no more money, the government of the United States of America is broke and headed towards busted --- that's b u s t e d, busted.

A country cannot give up its productive capacity by which it earns its way out of the hole, but this country is giving it up.

A government cannot dictate that people should like bad people, but this federal government does so daily.

A government of free people is not a government over them, but this federal government strives to retain its hegemony in our lives, daily. It seeks to tell us who we will like and dislike on the basis of central committees (in such committees, the members are "planners" and "policy makers").

Free people cannot support a government which exeeds this:

To be free, people agree to some government for their common martial defense and the common defense of their livelihood --- a free people ought to tax and spend to do this well.

While now we are supporting a government way beyond these requirements and so far "forward" or "progressive" that the government has become lost in extra-Constitutional space; violating our agreement, our consent.

Who can support such a bad government?

Some now say that criticism of government is "mean" or "over the top."

Really?

Such some of the people also stood by King George III's --- but especially his Parliament's --- bad government. A bad government which set aside the rule of law with respect to the American Colonies, in order to engineer American Colonial society to the notion of subjecting itself to the British government.

This paragraph alone tells you this guy is either smoking crack or did no research at all for this vanity post. The fact of the matter is, EVERY treatment for AIDS has failed to cure it. AZT, ddI, abacavir - The HIV virus has developed resistance to them all. The mutation rate for the AIDS virus is still astonishing CDC researchers. To claim we are within 7 years of a cure for AIDS leaves me with a lot of questions as to this poster's competence.

As for the "optimism" cited in this post, it would be more accurate to call it ignorance.

Interesting speculation and much may well come true, but optimistic messages like this just inflame the anti-Bushies (sceptics too!). Remember, their "hero" was quoted in an interview while he was prez as claiming that "America's best years were behind it". After all, if Bill Clinton said it, then it must be true...after all, he wouldn't lie to us, would he?

I am not optimistic, and yet it has nothing to do with the President. The country is not the president, it is we the people. Sadly, we the people are still just as polarized and divided as we were in November of 2000 on election day. The whinning, carping, and undermining from all sides continue, despite 9/11 and the war/threats against us. And that's just 1/2 of the country - the rest are asleep and don't even bother to vote. We are at grave risk of falling in upon ourselves in confusion, mistrust, and in-fighting.

We are a house divided against itself.....

Says Mr. Ross:
Collapse of the Hyper-Greens

See: Sustaining Nothing, Losing Everything, Sierra Times, June 20, 2002, by Tom DeWeese (posted June 21, 2002 by brityank).

"What is Sustainable Development? ...

On June 29, 1993, former President Bill Clinton issued Executive Order #12852 to create the President's Council on Sustainable Development. Sustainable Development calls for changing the very infrastructure of the nation away from private ownership and control of property to nothing short of a national zoning system.

Locally elected officials will no longer be the single driving force in making decisions for their communities. Rules will be made behind the scenes in non-elected "sustainability councils" armed with truckloads of federal regulations, guidelines and money.

According to Sustainable Development policies, air conditioning, convenience foods, single-family housing and cars are among the products that have already been determined to be unsustainable. Under such a system, the federal government, backed by an army of private, non-governmental organizations.

(NGOs), like the Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, and the National Education Association will influence, if not dictate, policy in state governments and in local communities...

...The Community Character Act (S.975), and its counterpart in the House of Representatives (H.R.1433), is the legislation that will legalize enforcement of Sustainable Development in every community in the nation. The bill requires local governments to implement land-management plans using guidelines outlined in a federal document called the "Smart Growth Legislative Guidebook." This publication was developed with $2 million provided by the Clinton Administration to "guide" counties, cities and towns on how to "update their local zoning."

The Community Character Act offers grants to communities that will pay up to 90% of the costs for localities to "update" their zoning, but only if they do it the way the federal government dictates. The Community Character Act requires localities to "conserve historic, scenic, natural and cultural resources." These are euphemisms that mean more land grabs and fewer places where people can freely go about their daily lives. It means planned economies, restricted housing, and diminished use of cars. It means government control of property. The bill contains not a single mention of private-property rights protection..."

Putin has unexpectedly been embracing more capitalist policies. For instance, he has cut income taxes to a flat 13% and is moving to cut other taxes, too.

Okay, now if we could just get our tax rates away from the 35% range to 13% like Russia. Sheesh, now which country is the capitalistic one? These taxes are killing me!

While real growth, adjusted for product quality improvements, will probably average around 7% for most of this decade, that will not be true after the 2009 or 2010 recession. The decade of the '10s will "only" average 4-5% grow. Yet that's pretty good.

Riiiggghhhhht...

Keep buying overpriced stocks. Keep shorting silver and gold.

I remain confident that Bush will, in the end, prove the be one of our great presidents.

WOW! The onanism is getting pretty intense around here.

Newsflash! GWB is on pace to come in above The UNIBANGER on social spending. He already apologized/groveled to the CHICOMS about our EP-3 crew, and then there is the whole CFR/Patriot Act/willie-nillie "combatant" status.

Tell me, are gays still openly serving in the military? Did he apologize and grovel to Chicom thugs? Women in combat?

Just what of the disasterous damage caused by the last 12 years did he fix?
