I grew up in the Miami Valley in Ohio and nothing is hotter than when it gets near 100 degrees and the humidity level is near 100%. Humidity in the north when it is hot is the worst I have ever witnessed. May not happen as many days but when it does, it is the hottest I have ever been!

I can believe it. When we were stationed in the Azores, Portugal, we had
some major humidity. (The Azores are 900 miles off the coast of Portugal - a
group of 9 small islands). The island we were on was 10x18 miles, the third.
largest. It rarely got above 85 degrees in the summer (or below 45-50 in the winter), but it was ALWAYS humid, and I remember taking COLD showers
to cool off and before I could towel off, I was perspiring already. Yuck !
