Excuse me to the writer of this article but I used to live outside of San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country and I will guarantee anyone that when you step out of a car in San Antonio at 100 degrees it is hot, but nothing compared to Houston and New Orleans. Been there done that -- drove from SA to Houston and when we got out of the car we could not believe the humidity there compared to San Antonio -- was much higher and seemed much hotter.

You're correct. San Antonio's humidity doesn't compare to Houston's. I've done the Riverwalk in summer and lived in Houston 30 years.

San Antone has the title-- but Texans know better!

I LOVE the humidity! It's the reason my 33-year-old face is utterly smooth and unlined, as is my 60-year-old mother's - and we're likely to stay that way.

Went to California a few years back for a wedding, and I used more moisturizer and lotion in that weekend than I've used in my entire life in Houston. And I am not exaggerating.

During a particularly dry spell, legend has it, a sad Texan once prayed, "I wish it would rain - not so much for me, I've seen it - but for my 7-year-old."

....and Mobile. Last week it was 97 degrees and 98 % humidity on a clear day.
