The hideous physics of the 'suicide state'

The president's men who are so eager to reward the Palestinian killers with a state of their own ought to consider what actually happens when a suicide bomber begins his journey to Islamic paradise.

The Palestinian campaign of indiscriminate murder by stealth, inflicting pain and death in a way that might have been perfected by primitive vandals in medieval ignorance, has already dulled our sensibility to the savagery. Some of us treat the barbarians as if they deserve the decencies of civilized men.

The president and his men, comfortable in the security of Washington...

Do you really believe this ? The president and his men are surely driven to distraction as they see the effects of uncertainty eroding and possibly eventually gutting the stock markets for years to come, as they see a projected surplus of $250 billion turn into a deficit of $100 billion with every likelihood of worse to come in the years ahead, as they see the U.S. dollar eroding against even the Iraqi currency, as they see the trade deficit growing ominously owing to a possibly permanent loss of traditional U.S. markets to Europe, as U.S. financial obligations to its allies increase, as they dimly recognize the similarities between these current trends and those that led the U.S. into the throes of the economic woes that were brought on by the Vietnam War and an Arab oil embargo, and finally, as they lie awake at nights wondering what they'll do if massive withdrawals of foreign investment accompany loss of confidence in the U.S. as place in which to invest capital. This administration, whatever else its failings, is not comfortable, and it has no reason to be, knowing that severe economic downturns are inevitably the precursor to loss of political capital..

An appropriate policy for the State of Israel might be to seek out and execute every first degree blood relative of each one of these suicide murderers, that is their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters. As appallaing a prospect as this may be, perhaps it is the only policy that could act as a brake on the barbaric evil that the Palestinians have become..

So you believe in collective punishment for individual crimes? How wonderful. So you advocate the slaughter of entire families who are innocent of any wrongdoing and who may have even tried to discourage their misguided family member? You aren't even attempting to think. You are worse than the barbarians you condemn.

Which planet did you just get back from? The mom's and dad's of these psycho killers are PROUD of THEIR having raised and directed them to their grisly work. They say "I hope ALL of my other sons become suicide bombers". They are hardly "innocent of any wrongdoing".

If your neighbor raises a pack of vicious pitbulls, beats them with a club and feeds them live kittens, and then when your children are playing in your backyard he throws the killer pitbulls over your fence, is he "innocent of any wrongdoing"? Will you listen if he says "don't blame me, I didn't touch your children"?

Yes, we keep hearing in the media about the mothers who are proud of their Jihadist sons. But there are also those parents which don't want their kids to blow themselves up - how hard is that to believe? Remember, you said all parents of suicide bombers should be slaughtered, regardless of whether they incited them or not. Not only that, but their little brothers and sisters, children should be slaughtered, according to you: "mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters".

I say slaughter them all. After reading what they do to innocent Jews no one should think twice about dispatching their families. If it deters future homocide bombers its worth it. Its called giving them a taste of their own poison.

The great challenge in opposing a terrorist campaign is not giving the terrorists what they want: enhanced support from the population in which they shelter. Conventional reprisals by a state are often exactly what the terrorists want. It's a tough problem.

To crack a terrorist campaign, you must somehow persuade the sheltering population, which provides the terrorists with food, clothing, concealment, funding, and new recruits, that the terrorists are de facto working against their interests. If you can do this, the terrorists will eventually be stripped of their resource base and exposed to capture; if not... well, I think we've seen what happens "if not."

Of course, one could perform a genocide, or a forcible dispersal. I've argued for dispersal in the past: flatten the entire West Bank and Gaza Strip, and compel every resident into exile. But the political will for that is absent, and the world wouldn't tolerate the extermination of the Palestinians, no matter how scrofulous they are.

Steven Den Beste, who has written a thoughtful analysis of the "general theory of terrorism," has endorsed the idea of taking territory back and herding the Palestinians into ever-closer quarters and ever-greater privation with each terrorist act. That has a chance. At least, it's untried.

Because I love my son, I encouraged him to die a martyr's death for the sake of Allah

Raising your children like this is not a good way to start a nation. They are going to end up eating their own.

Wonder what will happen when the thought "Allah does not exist " hits their thought process?? A little atheism might go a long way there.

The Jews of Israel went through the holocaust, they are loath to inflict that on another people. Given the polls I have seen almost 80% of Palestinians are proud of their terror, so they are not innocent.

This should be war, and in war the innocent 20% need to get out of the way. Bush said, if you feed, support, or hide a terrorist you are a terrorist. The non-combatant Palestinians certainly qualify under that definition.

It is as rediculous for those that are leftist Israelies to feel bad that they are stronger and in possession of better weapons, than it would be for the USofA to feel bad about our war in Afghanistan with Al Queda. When a barbarian is determined to kill you, one shouldn't feel badly that they have a better club to defend themselves with.

Those Israelies on the right are in the same situation we on the right here in America are in. Having to fight not only the enemy, but the simple minded left in our own country. Not only that, but both countries have to fight the simple minded of the international community, for Israel it is worse than for us.

I am for deporting all Palestinians, but to where? Who wants these savages? No one, for all their whining and crying about the poor Palestinians, most countries surrounding Israel have at one time or another, had to massacre "Palestinians" to maintain peace and stability in their own country. I suggest France, they deserve the Palestinians.

Now old "War on Terror" Bush is talking about creating a terrorist state, and Israel under pressure, even entertains the idea, as though that would not worsen the situation, the world is barking mad. Israel needs to shove them into one area and contain them in camps. No one in, no one out, no weapons in, no weapons to kill Israelies with. I'm willing to bet that within six months of internment, Palestinians will turn on and kill each other.

When a people like the Pali's are so addicted to killing while merely having a limited Palestinian Authority, they will be uncontrollable if given their own state. They will invite Syria and Iraq into their sovereign nation, to end the state of Israel. Dealing with the sovereignty of a nation is an entirely different and more complicated animal, than the rag tag barbarians laying claim to land, that by all the rules of history, are now the property of Israel. Gained by conquest through a defensive war that was waged against them.

That is exactly the same plan I have also come to believe in. Here's how I put it:

Land for Terror

The IDF shouldn't occupy interior PA towns, even terror nests. Israel does not need to occupy more "islands" in a hostile sea.

Instead, Israel should announce the following policy:

After each new terror attack, the IDF will take and hold a 1K wide strip on the PA side of the Green Line. It may be wider or narrower in specific locations as suits the terrain. Push all the muslims eastward out of this 1K strip into the rest of the PA, let Arafat feed and house them.

Turn the 1K strip into a cordon sanitaire, a free fire zone which is as good as the billion dollar mega wall at preventing infiltration, and has the benefit of being moveable eastward as needed. Any non IDF seen in the 1K strip are to be fired upon immediately.

Bulldoze every structure in the 1K strip and truck away the rubble. Leave not one house for the Palestineans to demand to return to. Tell them "you have no house here, this land is lost to you forever. Thank Hamas, Hizbollah and Islamic Jihad for the loss of your land."

After each new attack, move the cordon sanitaire strip 1K eastward, and permit Israelis to settle the now fallow land previously taken.

Eventually the Palestineans will either revolt against their terrorist organizations, or they will find themselves all in refugee camps in a few tiny patches right against the Jordan River.

(The giant billion dollar wall now being built is a mistake: it grants permanent control over the land on the other side to the Palestineans, no matter what future terrorist atrocities they commit. They need to lose "land for terror", and the billion dollar wall cannot move.)

Travis you are correct. Israel must establish an escallating price for the bombings, To date they have not inflicted sufficient pain on the bomber's base to cause them to stop or slow down.

Of course the people who openly encourage these activities should be captured or killed as well, but it may well be beyound the IDF capability so I support taking the land - strip by strip. I hope Israel gets busy and starts leveling the buildings they are re-occupying.

If you really read my post, you will see that I do not champion the idea. I say it is an appalling idea.

But clearly SOMETHING must be done, and WHATEVER that something is it must of necessity punish somene other than the suicide bomber, for the suicide bomber is beyond punishment..

I think that it IS appropriate to take the action to those closest to the bomber, rather than to those more distant.

By the way, Do YOU have any useful suggestion?
