So what gives this more credence than the enviromentalist whacko's cries of global warming?

Heh heh heh, I'm sure the environmentally challenged are going to love you. You heretic!

The ice is coming...soon. ;^)
Seriously, less than two decades would elapse in covering the North with the beginnings of an ice-cap.
In ten years, the government might be asking folks to let their cars idle overnnight. ;^)

We do not need ecoterrorist helplessness, we need to consume and engineer the sustenance of this consumption. Making giant heat exchangers in the form of cloud particles and giant foil domes (would help the tinfoil hat crowd) would be tackling the devastatingness of the weather as the cave men did by, well, going into cave when it was cold or raining or too hot....

Fire & Ice
by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what Ive tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Outstanding post! The junk science behind both the global cooling BS of the 70's (and later), coupled with the junk science of the global warming BS of late makes excellent comedic material. What a laugh!
BTW, I love driving my SUV, and eating beef to support the cattle industry which has so many cows that cow farts are affecting the ozone!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

On the subject of coal, I have long suspected that most people who lived all their lives in Victorian cities tended to die around age 50 of tuberculosis or emphysema, what with all that coal soot they breathed in day in day out. Does anyone know if I am right ?
So for the upper classes, having a country estate to spend months at was a cardiovascular necessity.

Great post re the liars and muddle headers who make up the current crop of enviral nazis. They hate people and will do anything to limit the population and move us out of their druid cathedrals ( we call them forests).

When did GW know about the ice age?
Why didn't he act before it came?
He lost the core vote of the Wooly Mammoth by not acting on his prior knowledge of the coming of the first ice age!
That does it. Alley Oop and I will not vote for when the next ice age or global something the other happens.

When the global warmers tell us that the stakes are very high, they are quite right. Global warming has become an immense international gravy train worth billions of dollars. It is now one of the largest recipients of government research money in the world. It finances jobs, grants, conferences, international travel and journals. It not only keeps a huge army of people in comfortable employment but also fills them with self-righteousness and moral superiority, and satisfies those deep instincts in the Green movement for meddling, hectoring, controlling and censuring. It enables them to say, The end is nigh unless you give us more funding, repent, and do what we say. Behind these exhortations is the vision of Rousseau, of a retreat from the evil industrialised world of motor cars and electricity back to the simpler, nobler world of nature (except for the Green priesthood who will still be allowed to fly in jet planes to attend conferences). BINGO!

LOL, I remember the ice age scare. They were as serious about that as they are now about global warming. It's getting old.
Right now I could HANG any enviro-wacko I come across. The forests in northern Arizona are blazing and it's a direct result of the greenies refusing to allow the clearning of overgrowth and deadwood. As a result we will lose the entire forest, numerous homes, and who knows how many lives. These people are so ignorant they are dangerous.
