So what gives this more credence than the enviromentalist whacko's cries of global warming?

Uh...never mind.

Heh heh heh, I'm sure the environmentally challenged are going to love you. You heretic!

The ice is coming...soon. ;^)
Seriously, less than two decades would elapse in covering the North with the beginnings of an ice-cap.
In ten years, the government might be asking folks to let their cars idle overnnight. ;^)

What did the Evolutionist say to the Environmentalist?
I froze my tail off in the last Ice Age!

We do not need ecoterrorist helplessness, we need to consume and engineer the sustenance of this consumption. Making giant heat exchangers in the form of cloud particles and giant foil domes (would help the tinfoil hat crowd) would be tackling the devastatingness of the weather as the cave men did by, well, going into cave when it was cold or raining or too hot....

less than two decades would elapse in covering the North with the beginnings of an ice-cap. It might take nothing more than one summer that doesn't happen. A few years ago here in Fairbanks it snowed fairly heavily right after Labor Day. Power lines were down, leaves froze in place on trees. Odd thing is, it never even once got above freezing again until spring, which took 9 months, and the leaves were still frozen on the trees all that time. The snow that fell right after Labor Day was still on the ground in May. Sure, it's Alaska, but even so it was a little extreme. It was interesting in the eventual spring how the new leaves would grow past the old ones still on the branches.

That image in the article would make a great advertizing poster.

"...one summer that doesn't happen."
The main area of interest is the high country of central Quebec/Ungava.
That is the center of 'glacial cap' country. One 'no-summer' there, and the ice may start forming. No joke.
To: Pokey78
well, it would be nice if it came soon. Our high today is supposed to be around 108 degrees here in AZ. ;o)
To: headsonpikes
Sure, it wouldn't be Alaska that provides the seed of the next Ice Age icecap. During the past Ice Age the Interior was free of glacial ice, as will probably be the case again next time since there isn't enough precipitation. We expect temperatures of 35 tonight, but don't worry, it will warm to 60 during the day.

Fire & Ice
by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what Ive tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Outstanding post! The junk science behind both the global cooling BS of the 70's (and later), coupled with the junk science of the global warming BS of late makes excellent comedic material. What a laugh!
BTW, I love driving my SUV, and eating beef to support the cattle industry which has so many cows that cow farts are affecting the ozone!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
