Bush Team Trimming Clinton-like Decrees in U.N.

(AgapePress) - In almost stark contrast to a report indicating the White House has written off conservative issues on the domestic front, Associated Press is reporting the Bush Administration is working with the Vatican and Muslim nations to reverse many of President Clintons policies at the United Nations.
It is truly a new day at the U.N., White House spokesman Tim Goeglein tells AP. The Bush Administration has a very important and a different policy position [than the previous administration] -- whether its family, whether its life, whether it is the centrality of marriage and children. In fact, it is the difference between night and day.
And promoters of abortion and homosexual rights are expressing alarm at their loss of influence over the American agenda at the United Nations.
On many of the social-policy questions, Goeglein says, that is to say, the questions of family and children and life and marriage, we tend to be in concert with some of the Muslim countries. He said the U.S. tends to be in concert with the Vatican, and the important thing now is to move the right policy initiatives ahead in the U.N.
For instance, last month, the U.S. delegation worked with nations like Iran and Sudan to block a United Nations declaration that would have said children are entitled to reproductive health services, which could have been interpreted to include abortion.
Where we can find commonality with, perhaps, unconventional allies, we will do so," Goeglein says. "The president has been very clear about his policies of family, marriage, children, and the centrality of the family -- and where we can find commonality, we intend to move ahead.
The Bush Administrations U.N. policy team includes former Vatican advisor John Klink, Janice Crouse of Concerned Women for America and Paul Bonicelli of Patrick Henry College.

The AWW's are probably already out in full force -- after all he didn't tell the UN to leave NY and he has all the authority to do just that don't you know!
Am convinced the folks with the agenda that want Republicans to lose the House in the Fall and not take back the Senate are no friends of conservatives. What a shortsighted plan of theirs that is -- make Republicans wake up -- well 90% of the base is already wide awake and don't like the alternative of DemocRATS controlling both houses and getting none of the Bush agenda passed or Rule of Law judges appointed. But then keyes and his followers can stand around and mouth his words that he wanted to say in Nov 2000 -- "I Told You So!"
Sometimes Pres Bush gets bashed on here seconds after a lengthy article goes up which means they don't even bother to read it without calling him a socialist or whatever the word is at the moment. Seems the latest DemocRAT attack is to compare Pres Bush and Republicans to Hitler or Nazi tactics -- if you see anyone on here using those terms, you can be assured they are shilling for the DemocRATS.
The Bush bashers on here can be assured that his supporters are not going away any time soon. Shortly we will be starting a Countdown to the Election featuring contested Senate and House races that we can make a difference in. Not conceding one thing to the DemocRATS or the 2%ers on here that want President Bush and Republicans defeated for their own Agenda. Going to put the spotlight on those half empty glass folks that have nothing constructive to add but continual to bash with their innuendoes and lies. We need to ask for facts from them!
My two cents worth!

Well maybe they are awake, we'll see. After 17% of the so called conservatives and 19% of the so called religous right voted for Gore in 2000, I'm not to sure of what's going on. That is what Rove has been alluding to in some his statements recently about the base not being there. We'll see....

Wasn't it Spirow T. Agnew that coined that Nababism?
To: DoughtyOne
Sprio's the one. That phrase is the only positive thing that I know of that Spiro had anything to do with.

LOL
To: DoughtyOne
Yes, Spiro referred to the press as "The Nattering Nabobs of Negativity."

I agree, D1.
I have the following in my cube at work, to the consternation of most of the managers in my foreign-owned company:
Get the U S out of the U N
and the U N out of the U S
Cheers.

And I do believe we have a whole lot of those conservative Gore voters right here on FR that pretend that they voted for Pres Bush when they didn't. Actually a lot of the religious right stayed home (forget the number) and 17% who declared they were conservative voted for Gore.
We can also thank KEYES for pushing the envelop with the religious right convincing them that there was no way that Pres Bush could win and that he was too dumb to be President. He only came on board 10 days before the election and his tirades of the spring and summer influenced people not to think for themselves but follow his lead in trashing of the President and a lot stayed home. He is still doing it, but now has a TV show to accomplish the feat! Some of the religious right have this theory they are going to teach us all a lesson. They have taught me one -- I now consider myself a Proud Republican who leans conservative. Don't want to be associated with the far right at all!
Remember the key words to watch for are any attempt to paint Pres Bush as a socialist or anything to do with Nazi Germany. With that you have someone who is mouthing the RAT talking point papers as to how to attack conservatives, Republicans, this President, and his supporters!

Thanks Poohbah.

Heh heh heh. Love it.

It's a pleasure having people like you on FR. You think straight. You talk straight. As an American, I say, "THANK YOU."

Hardly! He was convicted. And I believe, but am not sure, that he went to jail. I'm sure you'll feel free to correct me about the jail if I'm wrong.

This is a blow to the Axis of Whining Weasels and GWB's Nattering Nabobs of Negativism!
It is? Wow, I'm sorry but I didn't seem to notice that blow...
So you're saying that if we take any random (lets say 10) events from GWs presidency if 9 out of the 10 are liberal as long as the tenth one is conservative than you and your friends are just as happy as all get out???
Some of you seem to have lost most if not all of your marbles...
