I don't think he has a valid point or I would not have posted what I did.

I'd like to see Bush come out mad as hell. Not Cheney; not Powell; not Condi. George W. Bush. Mad as hell.

How about an island, somewhere in the Pacific. Far away from civilization.

How about an asteroid, somewhere in the solar system.

LarryLied does have a valid point. The problem isn't Washington, the problem is in Israel itself. There is a huge divide over this issue...

Ari isn't saying anything really. All he is saying is "if your long term goal is peace, then you can't let your short term aims derail that..."

Well, I'm not a Jew hater and I agree with him that there are internet and external factors from JEWS that are holding Sharon back. I am not saying that that is the ONLY reason -- I believe WE are putting pressure on Israel too -- but I'm saying that is ONE reason.

I just wonder if the whole world is willing to sit back and watch as the PA/Hamas/whoever destroys Israel.

Sharon needs to get out of the way and let Barak or Netanyahu in. Sharon isn't doing enough, IMO.

I'd go town by town, with surrounding areas annexed. For example, for yesterdays bomb, I would take Jenin completely. All Palestinians in the town would be rounded up and expelled from the country of Israel outright. They would be permitted to take their belongings, empty their bank accounts, and set up in countries like Iraq or Lebanon or Jordan, but they would be permanently barred from Israel.

See, you know the Palestinians would not stop bombing, so it is a guarantee you will eventually own your own country again. As the expulsions are ongoing, you would be busy building a massive, army-guarded fence. 30 feet of concrete topped with electrified chainlink and concertina wire. Sink it 20 feet into the ground with seismic sensors every 20 feet. Put cameras 50 feet apart, with monitoring substations every 1 mile. Troop barracks every five miles complete with fast-moving light-armored vehicles. Helicoptor patrols with thermal imaging.

Get them out of the country then guard your border.

Do they really think there is still path to peace?

Oh, there's a path to peace. Right over Arafat's body & through the River Jordan.

I don't think taking back one kilometer all along the border is practical though - I favor the village-a-day plan.

Israel needs to remember the path to peace?

Well, one path to peace is eliminating the enemy. But I doubt that's what he meant.

Let's remove the neutral language, shall we? It reads better when put in proper contexts....

JERUSALEM (AP) - A bomb blast rocked a northern Jerusalem neighborhood Wednesday evening and at least 20 people were injured, several of them critically, police and the Israel media reported. The attack was apparently carried out by a suicideHOMICIDIAL TERRORIST bomber, said Kobi Zrihen, a Jerusalem police spokesman.

At least four of the wounded were in critical condition, rescue workers told army radio.

Initial reports said the Homicidal terrorist attack blast was near a bus stop in the French Hill neighborhood, an area that Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war, and which Palestinians claim for a future state., though have never actually "owned" any land

No additional details were immediately available.

The blast comes one day after a Palestinian suicideHomicidal terrorist bomber killed SLAUGHTERED 19 people on a bus, including SCHOOLCHILDREN in southern Jerusalem, the deadliest bombing in the city in six years.

Israel has said it will reoccupy portions of it's OWN COUNTRY parts of Palestinian territory in response to such attacks.

I'd like to see Bush mad as hell, too, but I just listened to Ari Fleischer giving the peace message. It made me sick, especially when Israelis are still picking up body parts.

Under consideration by Bush and his aides was a three-year timetable for negotiations for permanent borders, contingent on a halt to violence and measurable reform by the Palestinians.

Bush knows the Pallies will never do this, and the terms are undefined (we get to say when they have complied). They are more and more radicalized. The media is focusing on "Bush wants a Palestinian state" but have ignored the details.

Ari isn't saying anything really.

IMO, it's WAY past time for somebody to say some REAL words.......and mean them.

A group has taken responsiblity for this bombing -- Arafat's brigade. Dancing in the streets in the West Bank.

Prediction: Because of this, ALL Palestinians will be expelled outright from the West Bank, never to be allowed to return. And the more they do this, the more areas Israel will permanently occupy.
That's a very good idea, but how will it be done? One village at a time, one kilometer of border at a time, or all at once?

After the 67 war the Joint Chiefs of Staff (ours) recommended a defensive border east of a Jennin-Nablus-bira-Jerusalem-dead sea line. The IDF has made similar proposals which would require annexing about half of the West Bank, depending on where you draw the line, and relocating from 10% to as much as a third of the settlements.

IMO, Israel has had more than enough provocation to implement this unilaterally, and it leaves a “state” for hostile Palestinians to be relocated to. Kilometer by kilometer will cost far too many lives. A negotiated “peace” is a pipe dream.

What the Pals?? .. They might think so in their own minds ...

When in fact it merely connects the term "Palestinian" with "Suicide Bomber," just as "Italian" means "mafia" and "Mormon" means "polygamist."

In the vast majority of cases -- even among Palestinians -- these characterizations are untrue. But the relatively few bad apples make it difficult for the other people in the group to escape the label. And of course no country wants to let suicide bombers inside its borders, so the Palestinians are kept in the PA, or in the camps, in conditions that encourage them to support, or be suicide bombers. It's a vicious circle.

As the saying goes, the fish rots from the head down. Personally, I think Israel ought to kill the entire Palestinian leadership.

My point is not that LL is making a valid point (in his opinion) this time or not.

My point is that LL only jumps into a thread when he can in some way slam Jews as being at fault.

It's getting old.
