June 16, 2002 -- The Jewish Defense Group - which says it wants to protect its neighborhood even as critics call them vigilantes looking to inflame tensions - will hit the streets today with its controversial armed patrols.
Leaders of the group last week raised the hackles of cops and other city leaders by vowing to patrol Jewish neighborhoods such as Borough Park and Flatbush.

You may be but that is not US policy. And I would like to keep it that way. Turkey has been a good ally. The bases we use in the Gulf come in handy. Israel wants their war to become America's war but there is no advantage to us in allowing it to occur. We do not want Muslims viewing Americans as they do Jews. Israel and Palestinians can slug it out to their hearts content. I don't care what Israel does regarding Palestine. It is not America's fight. As far as Israel helping the USA in our war, thanks but no thanks. More trouble having Israel help than its worth.
States rights still exist and it is not like Barak refused to confederate with a potentialy Christian Palestinian state. You guys really have it up yours. Why do you socialist Christian nationalist hypocrits go to Israel to mandate their laws, yet when Jews go into American politics you are against it. The resentment is that the overwhelming number of Jews in America vote to deny the rest of us the right to defend ourselves. I'm sick of double standards.

No bloodlines involved here save for you pointing at Jews. As for bloodlines, there is jurisdiction and risk involved in blood relatives. It is not a fundamental one as your hero Herr Hitler purported Jews to be like you do, but if you cannot relate along the bloodlines of your relatives, either you are a liar socialist hypocrit, or you're an idiot.
I may be wrong but I believe the Knesset does not allow the type of lobbying AIPAC does in America. Who said anyone is against Jews in American politics? I don't care who is in Congress if they are conservative.
As a child, I lived in a neighborhood in MD outside of DC which was about 60% Jewish. My father was an atheist, so we never went to church. As a result, I had no concept of religion or spirituality. At that time I didn't understand anything about Judaism or Christianity, and the Jewish kids to me were other kids to play with. As time went on, my observations of Jews around me were that they were smart and didn't get in trouble like other kids (or I should say teenagers by that time) and my father's good friends were Jewish. Even though he was an atheist, he didn't mind if others believed in God. He was a scientist and was solely interested in earthly knowledge. When I got older, I came to believe in God, and I do have very strong beliefs which probably don't fit in too well with organized religions. I think we are all put here to evolve spiritually, and to try to love others and to help others as I believe God loves all creatures. And I am certain that our souls live on after death. I despise greed and arrogance, which is one reason I was so happy to leave the big city.
But I am always wondering why people are the way they are, and these days I wonder why certain groups of Arabs seem so fond of killing and torturing people. Is it environment? Is there a genetic component? I do know that in Israel they are doing some excellent research on human genetics. I wonder if our genes are our blueprints given to us by God, to work out whatever issues we need to work on in this life.
