June 16, 2002 -- The Jewish Defense Group - which says it wants to protect its neighborhood even as critics call them vigilantes looking to inflame tensions - will hit the streets today with its controversial armed patrols.

Leaders of the group last week raised the hackles of cops and other city leaders by vowing to patrol Jewish neighborhoods such as Borough Park and Flatbush.

It is primarily a political statement, a statement that the jews, alone, are above the law.

Jew's laws are based on civil disobedience, especialy when the government is above the law. IF you think that Jews rebuilding the nation and showing the way is being above the law, then I think you are the one looking for a bogey man because you shun your duty in rebuilding the nation. Jewish pride in civil disobedience is nothing wrong. It's not like they are building Israel in the middle of America or they claim independence as Mexicans Aztlan doing in the SOuth or PAlestinian suicide bombers.

No, I have no problem with people bearing arms, even in public. But the idea that a band of armed citizens will stop something like 9/11 you have to admit, is silly. Sure, they may prevent some muggings, etc., things that happen on the street. But if we're talking about "real" terrorism, their gang is simply an irrelevant response.

I'm not arguing against neighborhood watches, even armed ones. I'm just saying they won't stop terrorism. Seriously, how would their gang stop something like 9/11? What exactly would the gang do to stop a terrorist (besides muggings and minor street crime)?

You got a problem with how most Jews in America vote, take it up with them. I'm not responsible for Schumer, Lieberman, Boxer, Levin, Feingold,Wellstone and Feinstein getting in the US Senate. Put up Mark Levin or David Horowitz for the Senate and I'll walk door to door passing out their campaign literature. Unlike many others, I do not vote for someone just because they happen to be of my heritage or faith. I'll take Mark Levin in congress over anyone of my heritage I can think of.
