I'm sorry, that should have been the First Council at Jerusalem. My bad.

Thank you, but praise The Lord instead. I merely demonstrate the fruit of being grafted into His vine.

We've never stopped believing that for over 2000 years ... why don't you all come home. We'd love to have ya.Bumping that message!

That's exactly the poem I had in mind when I made this post; but I couldn't remember the whole thing. So I just sort of paraphrased part of it. Thanks for putting it on this thread. You are so welcome. I just thought that it fit.

What was the point of your rant? This happens everywhere as I am sure you know, including all Churches, synagogues, and mosques, and in the world of business and politics.
It is a problem everywhere, certainly not just in the Catholic Church.

All true, that's the one I praise the most. But he
does enable talented people who can debate so
eloquently!

debate so eloquently! Again, thank you, but it truly is Holy Spirit inspired...I do the transcription, but it is a bit like taking dictation.
I've come to discern the difference between when I'm in the flesh and being prideful, impatient, or angry, versus waiting and being meek when the Holy Spirit is whispering a point to make...that's the source of the eloquence....verily!

Okay--now that makes sense!

How do you know that a person who ministers in one denomination and is found to be an abuser and run off does not wait awhile and cross the country and find another small denomination to minister to and gets run off there and on and on? I suppose that will always be a concern, however, my point was that the RCC transfers people as a matter of policy, and they have moved around pedophiles on purpose, paid off traumatized children's families as policy, and let the pervert go free intentionally, to work at another church.
Any church that does that is not a Church that has Jesus Christ in it. I donn't care what denomination it is, if you harbor pedophiles and tell the laity "TOO BAD, GET USED TO IT", you are a cult.

You've heard the old saying...if Satan isn't attacking you or your church, you may want to find out what you're doing wrong.:)

Wow, so Catholics are cultists? Is this "all" Catholics? You baiters are famous for using absolutes like "never," "always," and "every."
Good thing that you guys don't bash Catholics the way us Catholics seem to bash you guys. THank goodness.

Shame on you for calling the bigots out on the carpet. They;ll surely howl and wail now, talking of your "ranting and raving" and your own "intolerance and hate."
Sadly, a bunch of Catholics will also complain.

Instead of giving a non-answer, provide evidence my comment is wrong. More than one example, please, I can cite hundreds of examples of Protestant Ministers being arrested for their crimes, show me half that in the RCC and I'll concede.
