I am a two legged variety of yakker...love talking and gabbing...

My dad related this story to me once...he said he was outside doing yard work...he came into the house, and found me(probably about 8yrs old), my mother, and my mothers mom, all seated at the kitchen table, and all three of us talking at once...he said he just scratched his head and left, as he figured he had not chance at all of being heard, or listened to, or paid attention to

He figured we women from three different generations were more than he could handle...he went into the basement, and grabbed a cold beer from the basement fridge, reinforcing himself for trying to ask what was for dinner...

Well, that cave was something else...of course, I like caves...but all those sea lions there, right up close, was really remarkable, tho one can see sea lions on the cliffs and rocks out in the ocean...

Got it. I voted Saturday because during the last fundraiser we went from something like the low to mid 40s to 80 grand just like that once the monthly donations were added. So we're in the low 30s now. 5 more grand and we've met the target.

Mom said that dad used to rock me and my little brother to sleep, singing the raunchiest songs she had ever heard...I guess dad learned those songs in the army, during WW11...he said, whats the difference, they are too young to understand the words, and I have pleasant army day memories...

I do remember when we were little kids, and we were poor, as most people were, dad would take me and my little brother onto his bed, one kid on each side of him...he would play his harmonica, and sing us old army songs...we loved it...it was free, and it gave us kids time to be with dad on the weekends in a meaningful way...

But I cannot remember the words to any songs he sung...maybe mom forbade him from singing dirty songs, once we kids could understand...
