I do remember when we were little kids, and we were poor, as most people were, dad would take me and my little brother onto his bed, one kid on each side of him...he would play his harmonica, and sing us old army songs...we loved it...it was free, and it gave us kids time to be with dad on the weekends in a meaningful way...
But I cannot remember the words to any songs he sung...maybe mom forbade him from singing dirty songs, once we kids could understand...
