MARCO MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE [FR Scoop at Post 25]
Naples Daily News ^ | 6/13/2002 | Brigid O'Malley

A 30-year-old man who investigators say sexually assaulted an 11-year-old Marco Island girl, threatening to kill her during the rape if she told anyone about the attack, was arrested Tuesday night.

Marco police arrested Hicham Rhazouani of of 1786 Dogwood Drive, Marco Island, and charged him with sexual battery of a person under 12, burglary while armed and burglary with assault or battery. He was in custody Wednesday night at the Collier County jail on $200,000 bond, sheriff's officials say.

Police say the rape happened April 9 in the 1000 block of San Marco Road. The name of the victim isn't being published because of the nature of the case.

Arrest reports give this account:

Around 2:45 a.m., the girl said Rhazouani came into her room quietly and awakened her. She said she was half asleep and Rhazouani was whispering to her.

She said she could feel a small knife, which fit into his hand, held to her throat. He'd taken it from his rear pants pocket.

Before he raped her, he asked her how old she was and if she were a virgin. When the girl told him that she'd never had sex, he said, "It won't hurt. I'll be gentle."

He then sexually assaulted her, asking her where she went to school. He kept talking to her, trying to keep her quiet and threatening her by telling her he'd come back and kill her if she told anyone about the rape.

During the police investigation that night, officers learned that a white car had been seen across the street from the house. A Collier sheriff's K-9 tracking dog had picked up a scent in that area, between the girl's house and a house across the street.

Rhazouani had been chased out of the girl's house by a man who lived in the house, but Rhazouani got away, heading toward where the white car was parked.

Police questioned the owner of the house across the street, who said she rented to two foreign exchange students, whom she described as being from Egypt. Police earlier had learned that the girl's attacker was a man with an acdcent.

Last week, police interviewed a friend of Rhazouani who said Rhazouani was often out late at night drinking and hanging out at local bars and also stayed up late on the Internet. The friend also remembered seeing police at the girls home and said Rhazouani was at his home that night.

The friend's description matched that of the one given by the girl and the man who chased the suspect. Police interviewed Rhazouani who said he was staying at the house that night, that he would help and said he was "shocked that this could happen."

On Monday, police showed a photo lineup to the girl and the man who chased her suspected attacker,. Separately, each chose Rhazouani.

On Tuesday, police interviewed Rhazouani who was read his Miranda rights but who decided to talk to investigators.

He said he couldn't have committed the crime because of his religious belief. He was then told that his photo had been picked by the victim.

He then asked to confront them and prove that he is innocent. He kept declaring his innocence and when he was told there were bodily fluids that could be used to determine if he was the attacker, he stopped talking.

Rhazouani, a citizen of Morocco, said he wanted the government to provide him with an attorney and ended the interview.

MFH is a lady.

In reading the post you linked us to, I found her article about trials and tribulations to be well written and indicates an intelligent person. There wasn't anything vapid and sophomoric in the content.

Therefore, I see no reason to doubt her veracity in informing us as to where (Marco Hilton) this scummy piece of muslim filth receives his paychecks.

We enter 2001 in this story now. I am a proud father of a 2 yr old son who is my world

Dear Leader, chief, political boss
En inglés, la palabra,el padre, significa un hombre.

Seriously man, this is a serious story about the rape of a child and then the statements of a Freeper saying he knows the guy. We've been throwing names and speculations about and my reference above is simply more information about the writer of post#25. In his own words.

Any comments to make about #482 (or 3)? Are you male or female?

examined the boat and discovered that the motor, battery, fuel tank, and a scuba tank were missing.

I keep thinking (and chuckling) to myself as to how an opportunity it would be, as a scuba instructor, to work with these terrorists.Makes me think that some of them are too stupid to learn "safety" (kind of like the guy who wanted to learn to fly the plane, but not land).

Scuba takes such techincal skill and precision....gee, I'd sure hate to see one of them get *bent* for staying down there too long. Or, perhaps a little embolism if they ascend too quickly. Little detail left out of instruction. Boo hoo. (/sarcasm) Wouldn't it be great if we could get them all underwater, and somehow "conveniently" keep them there? How easy that would be!

I'm sure there must've been a scuba thread recently, I missed it ;)

Glad you're hanging in there, MFH. Keep it up.

I haven't seen any replys in this thread where MFH refers to his gender. He hasn't bothered to correct other posters that have incorrectly referred to him as a female, but what's the big deal about that? Posters here often get my gender wrong and I don't always correct them.

Would'nt it be nice if we could get them all under water and keep them there.

The sad part about it kstewskis, is that they don't care. They do not value their lives and no one elses lives. Would like to know if Hickam Rhazouani was still in custody or has already been sprung by his wealthy parents.

Gawd I hope not, TK. I have a feeling *if* this story ever makes it in the media, we won't hear about it for weeks. My guess, is if he gets out by the hands of his "wealthy" family, we won't hear about it at all.

I'm getting sick of feeling a bit on the helpless side in this whole thing, aren't you? I don't know what it's going to take in order to demand our Feds act swiftly in their investigations, not only before this guy escapes with the help of his parents, but to ferret out the rats nest of these terrorist cels. sigh.

Oh you had to go and find that.Nothing like reading your old open journal readings from the past.It is like someone putting your kindergarten paintings on the fridge when you are near 30 and saying hey...what do you think? There are moments on here where you just find amazing strength in typing out something that is really bothering you. Maybe because in a way you feel you can trust the people on here a bit more (not much..it IS the internet...tin foil on), but I think we all are in a way always kind of writing our cyber journals everyday on FR.

CNN BREAKING:

Report: Saudi Arabia diplomat confirms nationals held in Morocco

June 15, 2002

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- A Saudi diplomat has reportedly confirmed for the first time that three men detained in Morocco for allegedly planning attacks on U.S. and British warships are natives of the kingdom.

Al-Eqtisadiah, a Saudi daily, on Saturday quoted Abdul Aziz al-Khojah as saying a Saudi investigative team has arrived in Morocco to follow ongoing investigations into the three Saudis.

Moroccan officials identified the three men as Saudis earlier this week when they confirmed their arrests. The three, who were taken into custody in May, claimed to be members of the al Qaeda terror network, the Moroccan officials said, speaking on condition they not be identified.

The three were allegedly planning to carry out attacks similar to the one against the USS Cole in October 2000. In that strike, two suicide bombers rammed a small boat packed with explosives into the destroyer as it anchored in a Yemeni port, killing 17 U.S. sailors. Al Qaeda has been linked to that attack.

These three are accused of planning attacks on U.S. and British warships in the Straits of Gibraltar between Morocco and Spain.

Al-Khojah's comments mark the first official word from the Gulf state that the men are Saudis.

On Thursday, Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Prince Ahmed had questioned their nationalities, saying: "We can't say for sure they are Saudis until the results of the investigations become clear," he said. On Saturday, Saudi officials refused to comment on the newspaper report.

Saudi Arabia, an oil-rich Gulf state and guardian of Islam's holiest shrines, rejects being labeled the home of terrorists.

It took months before Saudi diplomats acknowledged official U.S. reports that 15 of the 19 September 11 hijackers were Saudi. However, it stresses that Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda's leader and the prime September 11 suspect, was stripped of his Saudi citizenship years ago.

Morocco has said it has no intention to extradite the suspects to Saudi Arabia if there is a trial.

I've read most of this thread, but perhaps I missed it -- have you explained why it was this rape story that suddenly resulted in your making all those connections and realizations and finally now contacting authorities about these Marco Island hotel employees and managers?

Wouldn't 9/11 itself have been sufficient to do that?

Please excuse my showing a wee bit of skepticism but I remember DITHF.

I went to the media with it. They played it down. It is hard to do anything in an area that has about 70% of employment rate at resorts and hotels filled with exchange students. The papers are in their pockets as well as local govt. It is a lot bigger than I am even speaking of. You could question why didn't any of the other employees who work for the hotel i.e. a room service employee who was held at knife point to his throat by Hicham just 3 short weeks ago not go to the police?

It also has not mattered in the past how many times someone talked about the social security card fraud that goes on in the industry. But it is cheap labor and 98% of the time it has to do with mexicans and hatians. So the INS ignores it because if they went after one place that did it..they would signal a run off and the entire local economy would tank. A lot of why's,if's, and how's surrounding the entire picture and that is why it took an arrest for one of them to really fuck up so it could give the Feds and cops something strong to hold onto and work with. You never realize how delicate yet powerful each thing and incident is until it actually goes under an investigation of this magnitude.

All I can say is stay tuned....people are working the case.

Also just one last thing here...I took freeper Wallace212 to check out this situation months ago. He witnessed it first hand as did a few others I did tell the story to about the morning of 9-11. Nobody could do a single thing about it. Nothing. I don't know if you have ever called the police on a tip or the FBI...but most of the time they just take a tip and hang up. This was completely different this time because there was someone in custody on a charge they could keep them in for. Most of the time they work so damn hard to try and prove they are a possible threat...it is too late before they can arrest them.

I believe the INS and FBI has proven this to be very true over the last month,in every story that seems to have come out about pre-911 activities.

OK, you took the "outing" like a man. Heh, heh, see previous questions.

I'm on your side for speaking up and following through. We have indeed found tremendous strength in our group synergy and not being afraid to put it all out on the table is just one of those strengths.

Putting all of our scrapes of information together has put the light on a lot of nasty little secrets.
