Unless the guy in the pic is related to the Smarts, then Elizabeth is likely dead. Why would the police release a picture of a red herring suspect if they actually suspected a family member? They'd be sued out the wazoo by the person in the photo. So my take is the guy in the photo, if he isn't a relative, was hired to either kidnap her(for ransom, revenge, etc.) or to dispose of her.

What made me uneasy about the dad was something in the first interview. When asked if he had any idea who it might be, he closed his eyes, paused, then vehemently said no. From what I've studied, when someone closes their eyes when they are answering you, it's a strong possibility they're lying. I've always thought he knew who it was. I'm not sure the mom knew at first, but I think all the family members know now.

Because the little sister is frightened to pieces. She's in no emotional condition to talk to a sketch artist. That child was traumatized severely, and was warned what would happen to her if she squealed.

I don't know if I misunderstood the person on Fox News today but I THINK they said ONE of the stories was that while they were kidnapping Elizabeth the sister was hidding in the closet and MAYBE the person didn't know that she was there. And that's why the sister waited two hours before telling her dad because she was afraid to come out. Then the person said that was JUST ONE of the stories that was told. Who knows?!
