I've been eyeing all the land along various lakes, in addition to properties along Long Island Sound, and a poll around here indicates that 89% of me says that such properties belong to me.

Support for a porous border and a loose migration policy occurs only on the Mexican side, not in the U.S.
...Except on Capital Hill and in the White House.

Am waiting for the Mexican 'homicide bombers'.

Something's fishy here. Mexico lost the war over 150 years ago. Mexico is not a powerful country. How could any significant percentage of the people think that the land is rightfully theirs? I suspect that this polling was done with an agenda in mind (as polls usually are).
What next? England claims all land north of the Rio Grande? Queen claims Battle of Yorktown was English victory and the colonies are way behind in their tea tax?

"There is obviously a large and significant gap between the attitudes of Americans and Mexicans," said Robert Goldsborough, AIC president. "
Did they happen to ask what percentage of Americans don't give a damn what the Mexicans think of our immigration policy ?

98% believe taking a poll is the same as actually doing something about it.

Azlatan will come. The Palestinians have had such incredible success, that this tactic will be replicated here in America.

The supporters of 'Manifest Destiny' were right. There should be no Mexico or Canada. Our chickens have come home to roost.

Clear example of using polling data to create news rather than to comment upon it. Might as well be asking death row felons if they believe the death penalty is meted out equitably.

65 percent disagree with the statement, "foreigners residing illegally in the U.S. should be given amnesty." Just 26 percent of likely voters support amnesty for illegals, while 9 percent are unsureI guess this is why 245(i) was put on hold until after this year's election.

'Bout time that the I.R.S. starts sending Form 1040's to all these folks; also the States had better get with the program(s) of the pro-illegal alien, Bush [still running the Clinton] Administration's Executive Administrative Associates.
It's great stuff, helping people, but we have an obligation to American citizens to respect due process, about which, the President is directly charged to uphold ... but he does not, when it comes to his pro-illegal alien-able "rights."
Adherence to the rule of law, includes our expectation of the equal application of our laws, but President Bush has not done so with regard to the illegal aliens flooding across our borders; they are an affront, as is he, to the people who have sought to apply for citizenship and done so lawfully.

Zogby's poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agree with the statement, "the territory of the United States' Southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Only 28 percent disagree, and 14 percent are unsure. How odd. The illegal immigration apologists on this very forum have assured us repeatedly that only the crackpot minority within the hispanic community here agree with the aims of La Raza.

>>>"... 58 percent of Mexicans agree with the statement, "the territory of the United States' Southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico."Yea right!
>>>"... 57 percent, agree with the statement, "Mexicans should have the right to enter the U.S. without U.S. permission...""
Too many Mexicans smoking too much wacky weed.
>>>"... 65 percent disagree with the statement, "foreigners residing illegally in the U.S. should be given amnesty."
>>>... 68 percent of those surveyed agree with the statement, "the U.S. should deploy military troops on the border as a temporary measure to help the U.S. Border Patrol curb illegal immigration."
I agree with the last two findings.
