Will Muslim Terrorists Burn the Western States?
Independent Logic | June 12, 2002 | Silas

Posted on 06/12/2002 6:24:10 AM PDT by Silas

Muslim terrorists have the capacity to set wildfires en masse and destroy a large part of the western United States. This theory was best said and first put forward by Freeper Travis McGee when he said it like this:

"Somebody had better be planning contingencies for a mass terrorist arson attack. Think of 20 arsonists setting ten fires each on a line 1000 miles long in one day. Or think of 20 Denver fires set upwind of cities on one day.

Box cutter >>> 9-11

Butane lighter >>> ??????"

We don't want to voice this concern because we are afraid that the terrorists will take up the idea. But we know that in fact they have already thought of this simple idea. By keeping our silence we are delaying an action plan to combat this idea.

We must have a plan in place in case these arsons begin. It's possible that they have already begun. We are barely out of May and already severe fires have started. This is unusual and it may be just the beginning. We must have a plan.

It is worth noting that during WWII the Japanese developed and implemented a plan to launch thousands of baloon-lifted incendiary bombs, hooked up to a simple timer. The idea was that a few of these bombs would detonate over California, based on prevailing winds. Some of the bombs did actually make it to California. The US gov. did not report any of these at the time, thus the Japanese believed that their plan failed when in fact it did not. California was saved significant fires due to a very wet season.

The point is that it is clear to any enemy that the US west is subject to arson - big time. Imagine what the Japanese would have done with a thousand spies given free run of the country.

WE MUST BE PREPARED TO DETAIN AND ENCAMP/DEPORT ALL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS AND THEIR SYMPATHIZERS. THE TIME TO PLAN IS NOW.

You are so right, the Santanas will be the real acid test! Not just for islamikazis, but class warfare nuts who envy the million dollar canyon estates.

Good point about the class warfare nuts.

I read today that there has been an arrest of a 45 woman for starting the current fire in California, threatening the truly awesome sequoia trees.

Question: What is nature's equivalent of the WTC?

As I suspected, this again was not a 'natural' fire but was started by a person. Curiously, by an adult woman again. I believe that this was intentional. The reason is hard to figure. It could be that she has been paid off by islamic terrorists (a thought that sounds nutty to the sheeple but only because they have not read it on ABCNNBCBS yet), or perhaps she has her own tweaked out story. Or maybe she did not start it at all but it was set by others and this is the governments story about some lady in Bakersfield.

The Santa Anas will reveal the bigger picture.

It will be a terrible shame if these 3,000 year old trees burn.

To the best of my knowledge of confirmed terrorist activity they have attacked our seats of government, military and economy. I'm not sure how setting fires in national forests would promote their agenda.

I wondered if the Muslims were behind some of the forest fires, I think they're agenda is to destroy us any way they can, the costs of the fires was probably close to the cost of the WTC and anyhow when you see what they're doing to Israelis ---killing civilians at a bus stop, what makes sense to us isn't necessarily what they're going to do.

I wondered if the Muslims were behind some of the forest fires...

At this point in time nothing would shock me. But I am trying to maintain a perspective. Most of the country is VERY dry and forestry mismangement has created an environment extremely vulnerable to wild fires.

I remember from the time that I was a kid, during the last ice age, where Smokey the Bear told us that "only we could prevent forest fires." Fact is that lightening starts most forest fires.

Then we had the two forestry employees who have now been determined to have set the fires in Colorado and Arizona for their own bizarre reasons.

FYI if you are interested, I just read a great book by Joseph Wambaugh entitled "Fire Lover." It's a true story about a Glendale, CA arson investigator who set fires in businesses and open areas in California. Four people died at a home improvement store where he set a fire and many homes were burned. Hopefully, this butthead will never get out of prison.

I am concerned about foreign terrorism, but I fear we have plenty of home grown nutcases to worry about.

I had a private theory that terrorists could use wildfires to attack us, but I didn't want to post it for obvious reasons, especially because it fits with their pattern of taking advantage of situations to get the maximum benefit (using nature's fuel, rather than building their own bombs, or using an American-built plane as a missile). Is it really necessary to post these theories online where anyone could see them?

Yes, it is necessary to post these thoughts. The governments will never tell us the truth about terrorism. I think most people have learned that by now, or they will soon learn it whenever the next 'accident' happens to a plane. Since we can't rely on the government -- or the media -- to tell us the truth, we must try to get at the truth ourselves.

The only alternative is to take the suicidal attitude that 'Well, the government/media didn't say it was terrorism, so it must not be'. That attitude may prove to be suicidal.

The terrorists are very smart people. They do not need to read FreeRepublic to plan their actions. We are in a holy war. And that holy war will not be won if we are too scared to even talk about what may or may not be terrorism. I believe that by keeping silent about your terrorist concerns you are not helping the cause. I urge you to speak your mind and let the chips fall where they may.

In my book series,

The Dragon's Fury Series

... about World War III where the Red Chinese and the Islamic fundamental nations form an unholy allicance against the west, one of the scenarios described in detail is a super fire that is set along 150 mile line in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. From below Pagosa Springs west to near Cortez. They wait for the right atmospheric conditions and then several teams in cars just drive along pre-planned, remote roads, setting the fire that combines and rushes north through all of central Colorado.

In that book series, as we fight major wars on multiple fronts, we find one of the major fronts to be right here in the US as literally hundreds of terrorist cells and sleeper agents raise hell here on our shores to try and prevent our mobilization and terrorize the populace.

We need to discuss, disect and forment strategies to counter such activities before they start happening. The series also goes into detail about doing just that.

Hey--to have a fire takes three elements--oxygen, fuel, and a source of ignition. In this scenario, the oxygen comes free, the Islamic radicals are purported to provide the source of ignition, but lets NOT forget the folks who provided the fuel.

The excessive undergrowth that provides the fuel for these wildfires is brought to you by the courtesy of the ENVIRONMENTAL WHACKOS, with their "roadless initiatives" (i.e. no fire roads), and "wilderness areas" (i.e. no timber harvesting/undergrowth removal).

I think the eco-whackos deserve 50% of the blame, don't you??

The capital of Australia is burning. What if Washington DC were burning?

To all concerned:

Be alert for fires this summer in California and all of western US. The time to pay attention is NOW! There is still time to plan.

It looks as if terrorists (either Islamic, ecological or other) have indeed been waiting for the Santa Ana winds.

The first step is to acknowledge the planned attack. The next step is to open a discussion on how to prevent/deter this in the future.

Travis,

I think that idea about checkpoints is a good one. In hindsight, it should have been done in LA. There are only a couple of days a year (usually in late October) that are ideal to start a fire in California. You need the Santa Anas. Since there is always knowledge of when the Santa Anas are coming, it seems like some of the remote roads into the mountains should have been shut down for a couple of days, or at a minimum they should have employed checkpoints.

That is easy to see now and too late for LA. But the knowledge from this tragedy can be used to hopefully prevent the same thing in Northern California and elsewhere in the future.
