Will Muslim Terrorists Burn the Western States?

Muslim terrorists have the capacity to set wildfires en masse and destroy a large part of the western United States. This theory was best said and first put forward by Freeper Travis McGee when he said it like this:

"Somebody had better be planning contingencies for a mass terrorist arson attack. Think of 20 arsonists setting ten fires each on a line 1000 miles long in one day. Or think of 20 Denver fires set upwind of cities on one day.

We don't want to voice this concern because we are afraid that the terrorists will take up the idea. But we know that in fact they have already thought of this simple idea. By keeping our silence we are delaying an action plan to combat this idea.

We must have a plan in place in case these arsons begin. It's possible that they have already begun. We are barely out of May and already severe fires have started. This is unusual and it may be just the beginning. We must have a plan.

It is worth noting that during WWII the Japanese developed and implemented a plan to launch thousands of baloon-lifted incendiary bombs, hooked up to a simple timer. The idea was that a few of these bombs would detonate over California, based on prevailing winds. Some of the bombs did actually make it to California. The US gov. did not report any of these at the time, thus the Japanese believed that their plan failed when in fact it did not. California was saved significant fires due to a very wet season.

The point is that it is clear to any enemy that the US west is subject to arson - big time. Imagine what the Japanese would have done with a thousand spies given free run of the country.

WE MUST BE PREPARED TO DETAIN AND ENCAMP/DEPORT ALL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS AND THEIR SYMPATHIZERS. THE TIME TO PLAN IS NOW.

Just a couple of thoughts here--correct me if I am wrong. I have heard from folks who live in Colorado that they have had a very dry winter. Couple that with dry underbrush, lightening and careless smokers, campers, etc. there is a scenario for disaster.

To the best of my knowledge of confirmed terrorist activity they have attacked our seats of government, military and economy. I'm not sure how setting fires in national forests would promote their agenda.

Yes, we had an extremely dry winter (snowpack is almost gone already). The Denver area is already under water restrictions. For the year so far, we're something like 15% of normal precip. It is EXTREMELY dry.

Well, we know for a fact that the terrorists have expressed a desire to threaten the financial stability of the US. Fighting massive fires is expensive, not to mention dangerous. The Hayman fire here is costing about $1M per day and will not be contained for at least 90 days. They are also dangerous to firefighter and civilians alike. Nothing like killing a few innocent Americans to round out a terrorist's day...

Not to mention that massive fires worse than Denver could be set just miles directly upwind of LA, etc.

Howdy. Yes, things are looking better. Weather is cooperating and, for the first time, firefighters are acting offensively. They are still saying that it won't be contained until September though.

Trust me; everyone in Denver would LOVE to get some of that good, ole midwestern rain... People are excited that there is a 30% for a shower later today.

Since the fire is almost 100,000 acres, it is going to be smoky summer. It is something like 20 miles wide and forty miles long. That's a massive perimeter to contain. I wouldn't be surprised if it is not fully out by the time of the first mountain snow. Plus, there will be more fires this summer. Just part of the fun of Colorado!

What is going on in Arizona? Will these fires continue through the summer? Will we ever know who is setting these fires? Here is a quote from an AP article about the current Arizon fire:

"The largest fire, burning since Tuesday, was thought to be human-caused, although authorities didn't know whether it was an accident or arson.

The two Arizona fires merged Satudray, it is now 300,000 acres, on a 50 mile burning front, and threatening several large towns, thousands have been evacuated from Show Low, Pinetop and that area.

The old Sequoia trees in California are the oldest living things on the planet. They haven't burned in 3,000 years. Now they are in peril of being reduced to ash. Are we to believe that this is a coincidence?

The quote from the article "The fire’s cause was being investigated" further points to arson/terrorism.

Beware of the Santa Ana winds in CA that always kick in once or twice during the summer. That will be the telling time to see if there are arsonists/terrorists among us.

It is possible that the terrorists are paying 'ordinary' people to start these fires. $50,000 will get a lot of people to do some pretty bad stuff, like torching historic trees, burning cities. Think about it and beware of the Santa Anas.
