my brother's german shephard was very racist and would go bananas whenever a brother would cross their house on the sidewalk. it was really embarrasing.

(Some dogs can remember scents, thus I saw a Utah bred hound go nuts when in a Chinese kitchen which was so new and strange he freaked.)
Regardless, if this dog failed to tell good guy from bad guy, he ain't doin' his job. Adios.

As a matter of fact, we once had a German shepherd who went berserk when he saw blacks. We got him at the pound, where we were told that his previous owner had kept him chained to the back stoop until he was evicted and had to get rid of his dog. Evidently the dog was mistreated by this previous owner, who was evidently black.
On the other hand, he also had a fit when he saw someone wearing a hat. So he wasn't just a racial bigot.
Needless to say, we had to keep a close eye on him. But he lived a long, productive life and loved our family.

I never realized racial profiling was punishable by a death. Where are the PETA folks on this? I say try the mutt by veterinary tribunal--the councilwoman, not the dog.

How can a dog be accused of racial profiling to begin with? I guess racism is now ascribed to the dogs. Oh and no sense in letting sleeping dogs lie.

Here's a weird one. I don't know if you want to put it on your list, but it may have some unusual implications.

My mini-Dachshund has some sort of Napoleon complex and goes nuts around tall people. In my neighborhood there are a lot of tall black guys, so he could also be construed as racist.... but how idiotic does that sound?

We had a German Shepherd who went ballistic when she saw uniforms, ANY uniforms. The meter reader, the postman, the milk man, police, fire....you name it. If it was a uniform she became Cujo. The rest of the time she was totally passive. Never could figure it out.

My dog does not like men, except for me. She will eat a man up if he gets in her enclosure but women and children are fine.

Dolpho, a 5-year-old German shepherd, can sniff out the difference between marijuana, heroin and cocaine.
Lets see, the dog is trained to sniff for drugs and is in a urban area. Black guy with drugs=black guy on ground with dog attached. BTW, how dare a German shepherd racial profile anyone, doesn't he remember what his relatives did to the Jewish dogs in WWII? This is 100% insane, once again, the worst thing you can be called in America is a "racist",even if you're a dog...

The fanatic equalitarian nitwits have gone insane. They actually think that dogs are racially profiling them by sniffing out their dope.

This wasn't racial profiling, it was a hate crime. Where's Sharpton?

Reminds me of the time the Seventh Day Adventists showed up at my front gate. My collie who was an even-tempered old teddy bear (and had probably never seen a black person) spotted a black woman in the group and charged the gate. The group of four women jumped in their van and left.
I noticed, even before that incident, that dogs who have never been exposed to black people will usually react.

"On Friday, while K-9 officer Schawn Barger wrestled with a drug suspect, he said a quick-release button on his belt was activated, accidentally opening a door to the K-9 wagon.
The dog lunged from the vehicle and bit a 9-year-old boy on the leg instead of the suspect, dragging him for about 20 feet, family members said. The boy is black. "
Ok, let's see here. Did the poor kid begin to scream and run at the sight of the dog? Police dogs are trained to go for whoever is running. If you stand still, the most the dog should do is bark in your face. Let's add to the mix the fact that the K-9 handler was just a little preoccupied to direct his dog at that moment, and you have the explanation for the "bigoted" dog's behavior.

I noticed, even before that incident, that dogs who have never been exposed to black people will usually react. That has also been my observation, but then, dogs will often react to anything they are unaccustomed to. Try bringing a yard dog inside the house and turning on a ceiling fan sometime!

BOLD PREDICTION:
The councilwoman will force the cowardly higher-ups in the police department to get rid of the dog. All across the country German Shepards will be replaced with Dachsunds, and political correctness will claim another victim.
