If I recall correctly, Brian Kilmar on Fox & Friends show pointed out the striking resemblence yesterday when the story first broke. The other guy...(Jeff?) said that we didn't hear anymore about him after awhile.

I read in a thread this morning that Padilla was allowed visits by a Moslem Cleric while in prision in '91. I think that makes him an excellent choice as a recruit. This was one angry young man (road rage conviction) who ready for someone to step in and channel that anger.

My mistake. I guess it is too late to ask McVeigh, huh?

Padilla (I call him Jose Pendejo) was 24 in 1995. The guy in the drawing looks to be in his mid-30s. Does Pendejo have an older brother?

I'm 26, but look 18. Trust me, you can't tell someone's age by a picture. That's why I get carded EVERY SINGLE TIME I buy a beer.

He does not seem sophisticated enough to have masterminded a 3 am bodega holdup in harlem. (witness the incident with him and the USDA woman....)

That USDA woman was none too bright herself -- he threatened to cut her throat, for God's sake! Talk about being a stereotypical bureaucrat -- I halfway expected her to say "but I told him he couldn't cut my throat until he filled out Form 89(b)(i) in triplicate" Padilla may or may not be the OKC John Doe, but if he is I'm sure he was missed through stupidity, not conspiracy.

he really interesting connection is that Terry Nichol's ex-wife is named Lana Padilla...

I think Padilla is almost as common as Smith. Do a google and you get over 200,000 hits.

Is Padilla common in both the Phillipines and Latin America?

>>>The guy in the drawing looks to be in his mid-30s.<<<

Please give me your rational for this statement....to me the drawing looks right on in the mid-20's...but neither you or I have a rational basis to determine the age from a drawing! Not all mid-20's or mid-30's guys or gals look mid-20's or mid 30's.

Now as to resembalance between two - a drawing and a photo of the real guy - there can be a rational basis for comparison. I believe that there is some reason to believe these two are a very close match - which should lead those in the FBI and OK law enforcement to ask some penetrating questions.

And if your right and Jose has a younger brother that did it....I'll bet he isn't 10 years younger! (Just hedging my position here) <(;>)

This is, without a doubt, a close match than Dirty Nuke Boy and JD#2

"The Waco/OKC/TWA 800 Junkies don't have actual lives. This is all they've got!"

"Well, I see that you are posting to this thread too--what's your life like?"

I was on my lunch break. "Besides, from the different posts that I have read, Padilla was free in '95. Of course, that doesn't mean a thing, and I know it. Does that make me a junkie without a life?"

If you haven't accepted the reality that the government has swept those incidents under the rug, and the truth will never be found- then, yes, you are a Waco/OKC/TWA 800 Junkie! Move on. Live in the present. We have plenty of problems here, too!

Why do you think that investigating matters in the recent past may not help us deal with current problems?

Not too late to ask Nichols.

Yes it is. Once McVeigh was dead, and considered trhe mastermind, if Nichols were to admit that He had the knowledge, and knew Padilla, that would reverse the roles that they have been tried under, as mastermind/accomplice...That is why Nichols lawyers so vigoroulsy dispute Stephen R Jones' tome Others Unknown.

Offer Nichols immunity, as far as any further prosecution is concerned. What's his worry then?

It's a giant waste of time and money. That much has been proven repeatedly! What new information has come from any of these repeated investigations? Did any heads roll? What was changed? What did we gain for our investment of millions of dollars?
