Good morning. This is a photo of Beach_Babe's son-in-law, Sam. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after 9/11, and has completed basic training, but hasn't been assigned to a ship yet. Sam is a former commercial fisherman who loves the sea. Thank you for your dedication to our country, Sam, and God Bless and keep you safe.

Please pass Kudo's to Sam, and Beach_Babe...it's wonderful to know our young men and women are willing to serve.
We're all so proud of them...almost as if they were our own sons and daughters!

Beach_Babe, please thank your son for his service in the Navy and thank YOU for sharing his pix with us. My hubby has friends who are commercial fishermen in Alaska - that's an exciting, but dangerous job. Jen

Congratulations to Beach_Babe and her fine son-in-law. His dedication and service to his country is admirable.
May God Bless Sam and all of his family abundantly.
(PS: his picture reminds me of my Dad's taken when he was in the Navy 50 years ago! Both of them are very handsome fellows!)

O, God, Thy sea is so great and my boat is so small.
Thank you all for your kind words
Ill pass them on to Sam. We expect him home on leave in a few weeks. Were hoping hell be stationed at Mayport, FL, which is quite close to home. After being introduced to FRs canteen on this submarine thread, wouldnt it be a kick if he landed up on a submarine.

Billie, thanks for sharing the good news with us. I'm very proud of Sam. I wish him God speed and safety. I'll be thinking of him and remembering him in my prayers, along with prayers for his wife.
(sorry I'm a little slow. I meant to tell you this all day). God bless.
