More like we dodged the patsy set up for cover of the real operation.

I fully expect the ACLU to have him taken from military custody and tried in the criminal courts. Thus reducing his punishment to no more than deportation probably.

When you prosecute a phony war the citizenry doesn't act like there's a war. A military combatant, known to have conspired to kill Americans is a military matter.

But that's to much common sense for America. We would rather subject ourselves to mass murder than do what is necessary. Witness your figures on the number of Islamist scum entering this nation every day.

There is a chance we will wake up after more 9/11 type attacks but never in history has a nation had it's head so firmly and deeply planted in the sand.

Our present behaviour is worse than suicidal. We're making ancient Rome look good.

Deport him where? He was born in this country.

Sure seems a real enough war to me...unless you're in the camp that says Congress' insistance that the president go to war but not ask the Congress to write a writ in case the war didn't work out well makes what we did and are mopping up in Afghanistan to be a police action...
