I just checked the DUmmy forum and there is almost universal outrage there over this story. No, they aren't outraged at the terrorist. They are pissed as hell at Ashcroft. They would rather have a dirty bomb go off than that there should be any credit given to Ashcroft for apprehending the terrorist.

I'll bet there are a lot more lurking about that the feds probably don't even know about. I believe the US cells have been actively recruiting young, male, easy-to-indoctrinate teens here in the US for the past 5-8 years. We now have this gang member from Chicago and who knows how many other prison recruits, there's Hiram Torres from Perth Amboy whose name turned up in Kabul and is known to have traveled to Pakistan and hasn't been heard from since, there is of course Johnnie Walker and Charles Bishop, who I believe was a young recruit who crossed paths with a Florida cell and was later used for a test run into the Bank America building to see if it could be pulled off.

When I was a kid.....a long haired hippie freak ashamedly....I was profiled constantly.....anyone with long hair and a van God forbid was profiled for dope.

Now I'm a short haired middle aged guy with a couple of tattoos in an SUV with NRA and RKBA stickers and I'm still profiled...only now for guns. I get pulled over now and any cop will ask me if I have any guns in my vehicle..(unless I have a car full of children). I got in a fight in my office 2 years ago and the cops asked right off about my guns.

This is just how common sense works. 30 years ago a cop would look for folks like me for a pot bust. Now they look for guys like me for a firearm violation. AND looking at Muslims for terrorists simply makes sense. No they are not all Arabs...some are Persian, some are from the Balkans and Asia Minor, some are Asian, some are American Blacks. and a few obviously are "other". Racial profiling is harrassment to be sure but it cannot be avoided in the war were in now. Nobody gave a rat's arse about profiling hippies and nobody cares about profiling law abiding white boys with guns('cept us law abiding white gun boys) and yet do-gooders get all wishy washy about profiling a minority that has already killed 3000 folks....man we are really soft as putty.
