[history]
Deep down in the streets of Harlem, the former president's embattled neighbors desperately need his help.
Grandmothers, single mothers, kids are indiscriminately being tossed out of their homes by landlords who evict, fix and cash in on the Harlem renaissance.

clinton's Harlem neighbors needn't worry, he'll be back. The next time he needs to use them for a photo-op.

Beat me to it. Those silly Harlem Folk, didn't they realize this was all for his image? LOL....

"
To his credit, Clinton has helped, mostly behind the scenes. He formed a program where a team of business experts advise local merchants. Another project gives Harlem schoolkids personal financial-management advice."Advice doesn't cost a lot and there are lots of sources of same.

"The people in Harlem need help - that's what everyone thought his coming to Harlem was all about."

Did they expect Clinton to wave a magic wand and make everything alright? When he moved in, there were some libs ( people I never agree with on anything ) on the talk show circuit who knew this was going to happen and said so.
A Democrat lied to them. It isn't the first time and sure as anything won't be the last.

I remember telling a guy who lived in harlem that this was going to be the worst thing for them. He argued no way, this is great. These people are being moved out BECAUSE OF CLINTON. He shot property values up among other things. These people are going to lose their homes because of their hero, who will then turn and take a nice pic of him self with the nice homeless people he created.
Nice joke, if republicans are for the rich, and democrats are for the poor and they both want to win elections and get bigger, does that mean democrats want more people to be poor while republicans want more people to be rich?

Yeah, and due to Clintoon's help...
"I may become the first state senator to lose his seat because I can't afford to live in my own district,"
And...
his landlord, the St. Luke AME Church, sent him a letter stating he and his family had until June 30 to clear out of his apartment at 139-141 West 126th St.,
The article is out of sequence.

Wait? People are mad because Clinton doesn't seem to care? After welcoming in their new "Black Messiah" only to now figure out he was Judas. I guess minds are a terrible thing when they are wasted....supporting Democraps!

Grandmothers, single mothers, kids are indiscriminately being tossed out of their homes by landlords who evict, fix and cash in on the Harlem renaissance. Wait a minute. Whose property is this, anyway? The landlords have no obligation to their tenants beyond honoring the leases they signed. Why shouldn't they be allowed to "cash in"? It's a good thing. Rising property values and improved properties are the sine qua non of any meaningful urban improvement process.

amont Yarbrough, 28, agrees. Yet, on April 15 when his landlord, the St. Luke AME Church, sent him a letter stating he and his family had until June 30 to clear out of his apartment at 139-141 West 126th St., he scrambled for help and got only lip service. "his landlord, the St. Luke AME Church,"
I love the smell of hyprocisy in the morning! Here we have a black religious cult kicking out poor blacks for profit.

Did they expect Clinton to wave a magic wand and make everything alright? Yes,they did. After all, these are the same people who think he was "America's first black president".
The ironic part is he doesn't even really live OR work there. He probably just "moved in" to increase real estate values so he could get a cut of the action.

You are forgetting WHERE this is happening, and the beliefs of the majority of the people who live there. They do NOT believe in private property and they do not believe in individual rights. They believe the gooberment controls all,and are happy about it.

Nice joke, if republicans are for the rich, and democrats are for the poor and they both want to win elections and get bigger, does that mean democrats want more people to be poor while republicans want more people to be rich? That's an argument even a Democrat (with "feelings" about everything) can understand. I like it a *lot*. Consider that meme appropriated; I'll be using it in the future.

Clinton as the "Great Emancipator", freeing the masses from the DemocRAT party.

Everybody knew it was going to happen, and any Harlemite who claims that Clinton's arrival would slow the pace of gentrification, as oppposed to accelerate it, was played like the proverbial sucker.
At least everyone had a good time at the Welcome Bubba Party.

Clinton has to roll up his sleeves, penetrate the neighborhood... Oh, he'll "penetrate" the neighborhood alright. Just not in the way the author is suggesting. I hope Harlem has plenty of ice to put on "it" afterwards.
