"It's impossible for him to address all these issues as a private citizen," said Paterson.

Another indication they abdicate all responsibility to the Government. BTW. . . How much low cost housing has Jimmy Carter helped with as a private citizen?

"It was all propaganda," said James McNeil, a disillusioned senior...

I seriously doubt if Mr. McNeil knows what he wants. He has probably been following illusions all his life.

Anyone who fools themself into supporting the likes of klintoon has gone thru a long process of moral compromise.

Grandmothers, single mothers, kids are indiscriminately being tossed out of their homes by landlords who evict, fix and cash in on the Harlem renaissance.

Had those grandmothers and single mothers been married to the fathers of their children and blessed with a work ethic, there is a good chance that they would be the homeowners standing to profit from the "gentrification". Come to think of it, they'd be part of the gentry!

All those years of handouts are coming to roost.

It is the same in my area with low income folks (race aside) being forced out due to rising prices and rents; but it is largely due to their own bad decisions.

Blaming Clinton for gentification is a heck of a streeeetch there. Why does the church escape blame from this guy when it is the one kicking him out? LoL.

Besides they don't want to hear the real answer to NY's housing problems- get rid of rent control. Start gradually phasing it out when people die- their apartments aren't controlled or when peope move out.

He's done most of the same to Little Rock. He'll be back for photo-ops too.

To his credit, Clinton has helped, mostly behind the scenes. He formed a program where a team of business experts advise local merchants. Another project gives Harlem schoolkids personal financial-management advice.

1) He does NOTHING behind the scenes, unless it involves something he shouldn't be doing (like interns). If he were doing something positive, he'd be hyping it all over the place, just to take attention off his myriad failures. It's all for the legacy, baby.

2) Just what business and financial management expertise could he possibly impart to these people? To urge them to get on and stay on the public dole, as he did for more than two decades? He has never held an actual job, and has had all of his living expenses provided for him and his hideous family since the late '70s.
